I once knew a an Italian Australian guy who worked for my father for many yeas, we used to work together during my school holidays. Most teens would go on holidays, I would work for my Dad's trucking company...waking up at 2.00 a.m. and working in the dirtiest, dustiest, physically demanding high paced work environment you could imagine. ..but he was the type of guy you looked forward to working with and the money wasn't bad either. He used the following two words for just about every situation that he commented on. The two words were "sabotage" and "powerful" and I never heard him use a swear word, these two words were his substitute for them whether it was a cuss, exclamation, joy, sadness, bewilderment etc...these two words just about covered it all..lol.

If for example something went wrong or was negative in some way he would very slowly shake his head from side to side and say "Sab-ba-tarrrge!", in his Aussie/Italian accent, if something good happened for example a pretty girl crossed the road in front of the truck we were in he'd say "Powwww-wer-fullll" with a wry smile on his face. The more "powerful" she looked, the longer the word was drawn out.... "powwwweeeerfuuulll" !

It never ceased to crack me up and even now, over 40 years later, it still brings a smile to my face.
