What happens if u get busted with weed in the UK?

This is all down to the arresting officer as to what they perceive as a small amount.
I got nicked with 7 grams in my own house and they nicked me with possesion with intent to supply. Obviously cps dropped the supply bit and got done just for possession.
If you have never been nicked before and you have upto an eight on you then you can get a street caution. Get nicked again and you'll have to be taken into custody. Whether they caution you again will be upto the desk sergeant.

No, they nicked me with intent purely due to the amount. I don't have scales or anything that would suggest distribution. As I don't.

No, cps would only do me for possession, but as I was conditional discharge for a previous culti charge they wanted to throw the book at me. Luckily my lawyer got me a complete discharge due to my health.
And yes, it's not me that I care about thru all the 10-12 months of legal crap it's my folks that take it the hardest.

depends on the circumstances ,best not keep any scales at home to be safer! i was told non commercial grows/small tents growers etc, can not even be put in prison anymore!
it's to do with the equal justice system.people in the bigger citys seem to do more crime with not so severe penalties .,which i guess makes it better for the country bumpkins,or evens it out a bit for the smaller guy.atb.ww

had 6 plants flowering and about 15 cuttings in veg and approx 8oz dried bud.
got a fine and 150 hours community service and took most of his equipment.

Can't find the UK sentencing guideline thread, so used this one. Sorry can't search the site on android.
So, can anyone tell me, has there been a redrafting of UK sentencing? Local guy just got his for 5 plants at home. Cancer victim, no suggestion of supplying. Got a 2 year custodial sentence, OK suspended for 2 years plus fines. But first piece of litter he's seen dropping, off to jail for 2 years for 5 plants. I honestly thought we had got past this shit now. Have the guidelines changed recently?
