Hey guys long time lurker first time grow poster. Made a new account because of privacy concerns. Anyway, this is my first grow with a BlimBurn fem Cream Automatic freebie. It's not going so well.

I ran into heat problems from fluorescents (put them as close as possible, right....), overwatering (completely my fault there), fungus or mold on bottom of pot due to overwatering and slow draining soil, and applying neem oil too early after seeing a bunch of mites that I later found out were beneficial (facepalm). This was supposed to go outdoors around the month mark, but I was expecting to have gotten more veg growth out of her. In summary, yeah, I completely noobed her up.

Details:
Sprouted around July 4th
Medium: 3 gallon Organic Kellogg Patio Plus Soil (Going to add perlite next time, doesn't drain very well)
Water PH: 6 to 7 (PH to 6 or 6.5, but use same gallon of water for a while and turns to 7)
Water PPM: half tap half drinking 180 to 250 ppm
Lights: 2x15w 5000k T8s and 20w 6500k T5 (All I could find around the house)
Temps: Mid 80's until I moved the lights up around day 10. Now around 70-77F.
Ventilation: cheap 9" fan
Humidity: around 50-55%

Pictures: About Day 16

Well that's it. Yes, I know it's a runt and I know I shouldn't have fucked with it so much. Any other comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Oh and totally unrelated, but I think my tortoise thinks he's a dog haha.

Sometimes they just grow slow man, especially at first. It does look a little overwatered still, but if you stay on top of it, it will get big soon enough. My current seeds had about that amount of growth after 3 weeks too, they didnt really start going until almost 5 weeks.

That's just really, really, shitty soil. And I think you've come to the same conclusion already. You'd be best served by getting a good organic potting soil put together and just transplanting that little root system as best you can.

Honestly, if you have more seeds... you can also just cut your losses and start fresh. We've all been there hombre, speaking from experience here, and a good plant in good soil will overtake that plant quickly.

I don't want to kill the plant off on purpose so I just lifted the tiny root ball up and added some perlite to the soil it was already in and just left it outside. The perlite was mixed in very well, but at this point I don't care if it survives or dies anymore, I'll just leave it up to nature (of course I'll still water it).

My new seed was germinated and placed into the same soil with 30% perlite.

If this plant doesn't do well, I'm getting fox farms soil or maybe ditching soil altogether and using coco.

Pro mix HP is definitely the best medium I can buy at Home Depot. It looked a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. I'm seeing that Lowe's has it for the same price as Home Depot, but for double the amount. Pretty much a no brainer now.

It'd be a little fishy buying it there because I doubt anybody uses it for anything but cannabis growing, but oh well haha.

I guess there was someone named drbrownthumb before? I thought I remembered this screename being used before, but it was available so I took it. If he ever comes back I'd be glad to delete it.

I'm pretty sure he'd be growing better plants than I do

God damn it! Woke up and my germinating seed had a bit of white mold on top of soil. I'm never putting plastic over the pots again. Another "tip" that fucking sucks.

In one day, seedling #2 grew as tall as seedling #1 did in 2 weeks haha. Think this one won't disappoint, but still crossing my fingers.
