Furrywall's outdoor 2014

I got those same frizzed tops on my BDs with that EWSF blend.. did you ever get it figured out? Got a number of other deficiencies going on as well. Leaves yellowing and dropping left n right, some strains paling starting at outer leaf edges that eventually consume the leaf.. Some strains doing some really weird canoeing and curling of the newest leaves. All kinds of weird shit

Yeah bro, sorry to hear. That's all pretty standard for this soil...

Couple tips I can give but that might be a little late:

Water less--let the soil dry out. I've been surprised at how much less water I used this year and at how badly the plants reacted when I gave them what I thought was going to be the right amount of water (drooping down clawed leaves and the acceleration of deficiency)

I ended up using a top dressing of Mr Bs Green Trees growth formula (chemical version). Within five days the plants turned from pale and yellow to dark green and there was a huge spurt of growth.

Do some kind of foliar cal/mag treatment. Photomag from AEA seems to work well but you could experiment with Cal/mag plus from Botanicare -- more chemical and it also has calcium nitrate which gives a tiny N boost, I haven't tried it yet so use at your own risk.

I was hesitant because the common advise is to pick one growing method (chemical or organic) and stick with it. But, the chemical nutes really saved my ass this year. I'm hoping that I can get away with just using organic foliar Phos since there is so much Phos in this soil. I'm using PHT phorphorous/photomag foliars and weekly compost tea with molasses at 15ml per gallon. I'm uncertain though---obviously, I don't trust this soil.
SUCKS! But a lesson not soon forgotten

Here are the results from my logan labs saturated paste test---

1- Downcast looking Girl Scout Cookies that in the last sevens days starting showing purpling on along the edges of the leaves kind of like a phos def and some tacoing.

2-Totally ill Sour Diesel that is dropping leaves like crazy

3-12'x12' pretty healthy blue dream that is starting to drop some of the older leaves, looks a little pale and, could be budding faster, I did a top dressing of mr bs green trees flower formula on this one about ten days ago

4-problem bd since the beginning

5-semi healthy bd

6-hugest healthiest BD

any help is very welcome. I've been googling for a bit and I can't find info on what the exact ppm should be per nutrient--

Here we go.........I drove down to chico and talked to Dave, gave me 2k in nutrients. He blames high potasium levels on a lack of fungi. he also says that with soil made with 50% organic matials all albrigh ratios go out the window. says is comparing a fast moter cycle to a fast car. Apples and orange . i fzhave jh biotech 2.5 gallons of cal 5%boron .5% . and a worm juice plus and worm juice boost. Also some jh biotect magnesium , and just picked up soil synthetics grow 8-0-0. I've being spraying cal mag plus from botanicair and seems they like it nitrogen and calcium seems to be in high demand with this soil. Just switched from cal mag plus to jh biotech for calcium plus boron. Ph is 7.1 . Started with light sulpher application, without ph. Soil meter not sure buwhat siol ph is now. Also got jh biotech wetting agent ( yucca extract) 2.5 gallons. I think soil is too tight and promotesx, pathogenic problems. Or aerobic conditions, so much to say , the rest I will save for later. outa time for now

Fungi doesn't eat up K, and his whole mantra is that he loads his mix up with all kinds of biology and fungi via worm juice....
