OK you guys scaring the fuck out of me. LOL. If that bad it's going into a hefty trash bag.

Still have the roots to check - What would you look for and would there have been a cure?

You would look for brown or smelly or weak, stringy roots that pull apart easily. Beneficial fungi will usually prevent this from happening. Trichoderma, mycorrhizae, and others will populate the roots (mycorrhizae) or consume the bad guys (Trichoderma). Aquashield, from Botanicaire works well. Aquashield is a bio fungicide with a mix of a few different beneficial bacteria including Bacillis Subtillis, Paenibacillus Polymxa, Bacillus Circulans and Bacillus Amyloiquefaciens and it is useful throughout a plants life cycle by helping to create a natural and beneficial growing environment. Aquashield helps seedlings and cuttings root quicker more successfully by helping to establish the root zone and forming a barrier against harmful bacteria that is associated with dampening off and root rot.

I don't know, maybe they're trying to justify cruising around in Chargers while the roads take 5 years to finish.

Pulled it apart, no bugs, no obvious rot, probably a bit frail but been funky for a week so who knows. Definitely looked better when I repotted last time.

Supposed to be some of those benficials in the soil I am using. Still suspect I fucked it up somehow and it rotted afterwards.

I just lost some huge Vietnam Black x Thai's to leaf septoria, humidity has been like Ohio round here. Didn't see any powdery mildew, but the leaf septoria was like shotgun blasts of black mold through the hearts of the bushes... all cut and scrapped. I was so happy about the mild summer temps I wasn't even thinking about humidity...

I know, humidity has been crazy this summer. That sucks because it sounds like a killer cross.

I tried some of the buds I harvested off it, they were only about 3+ weeks, but a good very decent buzz off two small ones. Wish it would have finished, but will try again if I can get a clone.

Helped a friend cage his garden this weekend. A little seed plant a friend has going. Can't remember the exact lineage yet I think some Pakistani, Grapefruit and C99 in it. Put him on a foliar program to balance out his unbalanced compost and worm casting mix. After 2 weeks HUGE difference. Things really tightened up and started stacking something fierce. Plants overall look much happier too. Needless to say massive fan leaves on this one.

Speaking of Viet Black here's a freak of a plant. It's basically Black Forrest (Vietnamese x Cherry Bomb F3). The Viet genetics were obtained from waaaay out in the jungle far from humans by the REv's cousin. My friend took this plant out of the pot and simply threw it over the fence. Soon he had a 6' tall plant. He showed me and I told him not worth it. When he tried to yank it fell on his ass it is rooted so deep. I was like WHOA! This girl is growing in pretty much native CO red clay. I threw a 2 x 4 on it to lay it down and said let's see how it does. Get's a few hours of direct sunlight a day and for nutes pretty much only what's in native soil. A few days later it's starting to crank. Could be an awesome fem or super hermie. If Viet dominant it's a 16 weeker. We'll pull some cuts in a week or so and have someone run it indoors to vet it. A real survivor whatever it is.

Seems the REv finally F2'd his Black Forrest and beans available. I'm telling you this is an awesome line. I regularly smoke on my friend's 14 week Black Forrest and really needed 2 more weeks. Incredible terpene profile, flavor and high type. Definitely rocks :biggrin:. If you're a sativa head like me track down some of those beans then ask Verdant Green to help put together a soil mix together for such a long flowering sat. Land race sats really don't like getting nutes dumped on them and can get pissed off very easy. While not a landrace pretty darn close. Gotta watch the hermie tendencies and from what I hear Cherry Bomb has that tendency also.

Gonna smoke a doobie of the BF so I can go back out and work in my friend's garden some more...woot!

Add PVC extension on the top with a rounded cap. Might be able to get a few extra feet of space. Them girls are getting too tall!

Not growing Purple Widow.

Not growing Purple Widow.

Last year a fellow ICMag member suggested i try to grow a strain called Purple Widow from DE SJAMAAN seeds. Well i spent quite a bit getting the seeds and waited untill the end of December to pop them. Only 4 popped, 2 went very weird and died within a week, third hermied after only 8 leaves and was killed. The fourth i thought looked like a good plant. I cloned it in early Feb. and got 7 of the 8 cuttings to take. Before i even had time to reduce the light hours to check sex one of the 7 hermied.

I decided not to kill this hermie since i wasn't tottally sure it wasn't male yet. I couldn't keep it around because of other strains that might get pollenated so i called a friend and asked if he still wanted a couple of plants to grow in his flower garden (he thinks they look cool and doesn't even smoke at all). Well he picked it up around the 1st of March and told me he was going to try to pinch off the nanners and try to grow it...i didn't argue and forgot all about it. Later he mentioned it was growing and budding but no details. Around late May i asked him when he was going to plant it outside. I was shocked when he said it had been outside since March 14th. In our lousey clay soil to boot. We had several snow storms after that up to early May. I had to see this and drove out to get pics.

The only living part is buds. They are WAY beyond harvest time and the purple is so dark that parts look almost black. I start to look forward to what it's mom will bring. Meanwhile as the weeks tick on every last sister hermies and are killed except the one in my small greenhouse.
Then on July 13th i find the mom like this;

And it's "sister" like this;

No choice but to cut them down. None of the seeds ever made it to flower...except the hermies. The funny thing is that the one outside is starting to show signs of reveg. This should be funny to watch.
I will never even concider getting seeds from this place EVER again. Selling genetics that are so unstable (most probably using hermies to get pollen) tells me to run away from anything they even talk about in the future.
I would love to know if anyone ever got one to go through bud...My bet is NOT. Live and learn i always say.

Ok. So looks like I will be coming into a decent chunk of cash the beginning of 2015. I'm looking to buy 40 acres, build a home and warehouse/greenhouse on the property. Can anyone publicly or privately suggest to me counties within an hour or two west-ish to Denver metro that might be a good place to do this? Where I might find a "state congruent" type of attitude from the nearby city/county to carry out my caregivership and possibly the rest of my life in peace?

Could be checking on a complaint from a neighbor, do you have odor control?
