Can't think about the show without smiling to myself. RIP sir.
Ran across a very nice tribute to him on a site which stated he was a long time advocate of cannabis. here is a small snip from and a link to
his memoir:
“I started smoking marijuana in my late teens. I drank to get drunk but ultimately didn’t like the effect. Not so with grass. Grass is smooth. It had the opposite effect from alcohol: it made me more tolerant and forgiving. …
“I smoked marijuana for 50 years. I don’t know where I’d be without it. It opened my mind to a lot of things, and now it’s active ingredient, THC, relaxes me and eases my arthritis pain. I’ve concluded that marijuana should be legal and alcohol should be illegal. But, good luck with that.”
Should you wish to read more, it was part of a tribute written by Jake Ellison . I am a bit uncomfortable with putting up a link as it is on a commercial site.

yes he always came across as a funny man no matter what character he played, one show I can't remember the name of= was like a western and he rode an old motorcycle, was a series.=RIP JIM.KEEP EM LAUGHING.
