Hi all. I had a little cab grow over in the micro forum. but now it's time to start the new tent and get back to big plants. I have been given a 4 x 4 x 7 tent, and am going to have a digital dimmable 1,000 watt HPS.

I have always used the Lucas formula with a peat/perlite medium. But this time I am going organic soil. I like LC's soiless mix of 40% Pro-Mix, 20% Tupur (coco pre-mix) 20% perlite, 20% EWC, plus a cup of Dolomite Lime per ft^3. And I am using 1 cup bone meal and 1/2 cup blood meal, kelp, and texas green sand per ft^3. Plus a Mykos packet and a Piranha packet, cultured in some rye grain sprouts and oats, tossed in with the first transplanting.

I have been looking at different Earth Juice/EWC teas to supplement and foliar feed on top of the soil amendments. SO much room to tinker and make fun brewing buckets.

So far I have gotten the tent setup and 60 gallons of soil composting away. The old 250watt flower cab is now the veg cab, running the cloner, moms, and the balcony veggie starts. I want to cram 6 plants into the tent, maybe getting 1.5lbs in the end if I don't fu*k up.

The strains so far are Sage & Sour, Cold Creek Kush, Bruce Banner, The Shire, and two more to come. It is funny, today I went to a friends and picked up the Bruce clone, and realized that being in Denver we were still perfectly legal citizens . . . weird.

So for now here is the work I've gotten done.

Until next time :smoke:

Update: It's been flowering since 5/19 now. The tent is getting nice and full. White hairs and the start of some smelliness. I am using Bus Factor X now, a gift from a friend, and hope it lives up to its hype. There also seems to be negligible difference between the lucas formula/ peat/vermiculite side, and the EarthJuice/ROLS side.

The veg cab has happy moms on the bottom, chopped low recently, nothing exciting. The clones up top are rooting nicely in rock-wool cubes, lots of staggered batches from practicing. I am almost to 75% at 14 days and 100% by 21!! YAY for me !!!

There is a test run of 3 Centennial Seed Companies' random cross' in there. Rooted and filling out their small soil cups. I am going to flower them in my little nightstand cab and get the males found out, and the females tested in a 1 sq. ft./70watt CFL cab.

I've got a Centennial Seed Halcyon and a Nepalese Watermelon Haze mom down below, next runs strains among others. Ben breeds killer genetics IMO.

First up is some older shots of the progress. . .

Maybe a week into flower (?)

The veg cab with moms on the bottom and rooted clones, clone dome in a smart pot, up top. Plus veggie seeds for the porch in the tray.

I think this one has some cool lighting.

And here is the flowering tent today, during their lights off. From the top right going clockwise it is: Platinum Diesel, Golden Goat #1, Cold Creek Kush, The Shire, and in the middle a smaller pot of Shire and Cold Creek.

And one hell of a thick Golden Goat stem!

The Diesel and Goat are the Organic ones. Quite happy with the progress so far.

Day 22 flowering. It is starting to get full of hairs and looking ready to start swelling. Tomorrow I am going to cut some wood and shim the Cold Creek and the Goat up to the same level as the other two. Here are some individual shots. . .

Day 41

Took out a lot of fan leaves today. Everyone is getting ready to start swelling in the next few weeks it looks like. Nothing exciting to report in terms of problems. Happy plants and a happy gardener.

Here is the overall tent.

^^^ Thanks guys for the kind words. Always nice to get a pat on the back from a like-minded individual.

Mostly this is a shameless bump to say how excited I am to run some Centennial seed strains in August. The Shire will still keep its place, being a massive producer for me, but I am looking for other equally big plants. The Golden Goat #1 and Cold Creek Kush are good, but not 2 foot cola plants like the shire.

Here is the two moms with a nice fat clone on the top of each, waiting to be cut.

Ok so I was dead wrong on the Nepalese. It is actually a Wapi'o Hapa, Hawaiian strain. Super big colas, and not too finicky. Sorry for the letdown, but I assure you all this is better in the end.

Onto the flowering beauties. Day 59, and I think my last watering had a f***ed pH. Some of the leaves on the synthetic nutes plants are yellow with green veins. Luckily I can flush them tomorrow and get it back on track.

The organic side is chugging along wonderfully. The Golden Goat is starting to yellow(ish?). Being organic soil with which I am inexperienced, if this is the natural color change starting, or a nutrient issue, time will tell. The trichromes are starting to cloud, so it can't all be bad.

The veg cab is getting the next round ready. I started to bottom feed the little pots on the top shelf, as I was tired of watering them every day.

Now for some pics. . .

Here is the Golden Goat #1
