Damn c4 that swallows up the entire closet lol.

In other news, Kraken and Halo2x

Halo2x at day 17 flower (hard to get a good pic of her without doing full garden shot). She's in the bottom left.

kraken is 10" tall and is a lovely, flat bush with 6 leads. Quite a specimen, but damn she's so bushy. Underneath that thick canopy is an intricate network of 50 or so twistie ties heh.

Still at large...
What actual diodes did you use and how many.... then... what light equivalent do you think it matches?....

I been lookin into building a LED panel... but I'm waiting for the price on either luxion or cree 10 watt diodes to drop in price... 7-9$ each is a bit much when I want 7 spectrums and like 50 diodes to equate to around 1200-1500 watts of HPS...

the chinese 10watt diodes I saw were actually 4x 2.5watt diodes on one chip, which, aint the same in penetration power...

Yo, whats wrong with comic sans?? j.k. Well as far as my LED goes its made up of bulb their a size 14 socket and are .75 watts. If you want take a look at my albums and I have a few pics of them in there. Even though I'd rather of done it with the "traditional" parts its just some parts I had lying around from past jobs. It doesn't boast big watts (less than 40) it does work well and with pretty much no heat, no need for fans/heat sinks. But with that said, it doesn't penetrate as well as a big watt'er.
The same company I get the bulbs through also has other options for LED: bulbs, spot lights, colors, parts etc.. (not a grow company) but If your one for thinking out and around the box they are fairly priced and reliable

Any worry about temperature with that hood sea?

Missed the question... nah, I got a fan blows across the bulb... plus sometimes right under the light I had before I was gettin in the high 80's low 90's anyways... I just give em more water to account for the extra transpiration... I'm not as bothered by temps... nature aint always in the 70's... long as my leaves look healthy.... thats what I watch.

Last wave of heat I dealt with a week ago, 1 day at 97F.
Had to get an AC and turn off a light to run it.
Temps before the AC in the flower room reached 106F.
All exhausts maxed out when I got that temp.
Moving air, even when hot, won't hurt the kids.
Humidity in those temps can kill, but dry hot doesn't.

With the AC with 3K instead of 4K, temps still in low 90's.
Plants love it, drinking like sailors, growing great.

I'm with SG1 and C4 on the temperature issue. I was running at around 100 for 3 weeks and the plants grew just fine. They were drinking like sailors on shore leave though. I was having to watch them closely to make sure they didn't dry out.

Hello minions, been over a month since I posted, I had castisrophic failure in the first week of June all of my starts were fried because of user error top dressing at planting. I misread the neem cake label and thought it said 1-3 cups when it in fact said 1/3 of a cup. Not only did I kill my in ground plants but I over feed my backups too and they died too just as fast. Took about 10 days of watching them fry until I called it a wrap on those and ate my humble pie and had to start over. I dug out my 150 gal holes and thoroughly mixed the soil then placed it back in the holes and then brewed an AACT for them to jump start the cycling. I let the soil "cook" for about 10 days then replanted with a 3-4 cu ft of my base soil (roots 707) as a buffer layer so the plants would have a good week before hitting anything hot.

I planted on the full moon on Friday the 13th. I was lucky enough to have saved some big moms as back ups at my apprentice dadeo's place just in case something happened to either of our gardens, and it did. Of the size able clones he had as back ups I choose to run the original clone only cut of GDP same cut I did last yr, and Girl Scout Cookies original thin mint same cut I grew last yr and yielded 6 1/2 lbs, also cheesequake and bubba 2.0 from HSO. It's been 4 weeks from replanting and everything is blowing up and looking perfect so I might do alright this year after all.

You can't ever give up, just keep going, keep working, keep growing and good things will happen. I am sad that I am not running any of the SG gear I started to finish but such is the way some lessons are learned. Lessons learned: less is more and read then re read and consult someone else that has used it before using a new product you never used before.

I'm sorry SG that I won't be finishing my gear out it's all my fault but Dadeo still has a huge 6'x5' MCD in his garden so we will still get to see what that does outside. I know that your mad at me SG about all this, I could tell from your last email but don't write me out of the minions forever I just had to go back to the minors for a season so to speak. I'd like to stay as part of the community, I feel like I've been ostracized from the minions. Let me come home.

That is regrettably a shame, but know that I would never get mad at anybody, whether error in ignorance, or even stupidity.
We've all had our bonehead moments.

Failure has, and always will guide our futures.
It's my failures that made me the grower I am.
The more you hate mistakes, the better the grower you become.
I'd say you hated this situation enough to learn some great lessons.

Keep you head up, do your best to replace them, and move on.
Lesson learned :comfort:
