What is going on with my Plants?

Hey,

I just woke up and saw that my plants are looking strange.

It was a Week last Saturday they started to grow. I put a heating mat to get the temps up a bit, the rockwool and growing area got cold. I noticed the rockwool started to dry so i took some water and Root starter and redunked the rockwool in it to hydrate it.

Not sure if doing that made this happen? or my lights are to far away. Should I take them out and put them itto my hydro system now or wait for a root system?

Thanks

Here is my tent + plants

Do you mean the bending of the seeds? If so that's normal they aren't strong enough to hold their own weight. I break pencils in half and lay them across to help hold the seedling up after 2-3 days their usually good. You could probably move your light closer too, hope this helps.

rockwool tends to be high in ph-when i water my seedlings in rock wool i aim for 5.5-5.8 and they do well, but not all rock wool is the same. If your using fluorescents i would drop them a few inches from the canopy

the bendy one with the thin stem, looks like damping off starting.Usually it gets uber thin near were the plant meet the medium{rockwol} I used to use no damp when staring seeds but i don't see it around anymore...

So My rockwool was soaking wet just squeeze the excess water to hopefully save the others. if not ill have to restart and not use the Dome, maybe use the heating pad until the stem pops up and use a fan and keep the lights closer.

I stopped having the stretchy seedlings when I switched from popping beans under T5's to popping them under the 400 MH raised about 18".

maybe a 1.5% h20 to the drip down the stem of the seedling/rockwol. Why you use a dome? as soon as a seed sprouts it is ready to go, get it close to the light as you can without hurting the plant, get it right in there{under the lights} and there will be no stretchy seeding use a fan too as soon as they come up to make them strong. Pathogens love wet and cool environments that's what cause damping off. So lesson one sterilize your medium before you plant expensive seeds, do the seeds to. Keep your environment dryer and lots of air movement.....

Thanks, When you say it sprouts u mean transplant it to my hydro system? Ill lower my T5's to get more light on them. If they Die ill just redo it with these steps. Also Heat or no Heat mat? Ever?

Thanks

you don't need a heat mat after they sprout, yes plant them into there home and use very low nutrients for seedlings, and lower the lights. seedling sprout in the big sun so T5 ain't no thang, the radiant heat is the only issue with getting lights close have a fan on the light and plants. The plants will like the fan and the fan will keep the heat off the light.

Killed my Plants Going to Restart

Good idea…your plants are basically fucked.

Happens to everyone…don't worry about it.

Just call it a learning curve…keep it simple and don't over complicate the process.

If you can grow a tomato you can grow this shit.
