Thanks man, that makes a lot of sense. It happened a lot quicker last time and that's because I didnt go so crazy with the flush I'm guessing. Maybe I will wait till friday, but just water to a light run off tonight and see if that helps her yellow out a bit more.

The burning was with a diffrenet strain, a second pheno of deathbubbble I have been running (very indica). I was initially feeding it the same as the others but started to see massive burns after feed (4.0mL Floranova Bloom (.8-1.0 EC) 2.0mL Liquid Koolbloom (.1 EC) and 1.0 ml FL+ (.1 EC).

I have been giving her normal feed now (the 4ml, 2ml, and 1ml) and she seems to be doing much better. That strain (deathbubble, db) seems to stretch a lot, and that pheno even more so than the first. The burns looks almost entirely cal/mag dependent, but am starting to think that maybe it was more of a deficiency. The marks started on the very tips like a cal def, then moved to in between the veins just like mag. it was so severe and so fast I thought it must have been burn. That and it seemed to get worse after each full strength feed, and no real change at all when I flushed except no more burning. I am thinking maybe I should have added a little cal mag around week 2 through 4 to compensate with all the stretching. Not sure though.

She still shows the marks from the burns, I'll post some pictures of her up tonight.

Thanks again for the flushing tip, that's just about exactly what my gut was telling me but I ignored it thinking it must be some illusive ppms in the coco or something. She handles the flush well. Must be one hell of a root mass because even after drenching with 3+ gallons a night she's nearly bone dry by the next days watering. Explains why on Sunday when I was being "lazy" (just watered till slight run off, 4/5 of a gallon) she seemed to yellow quite noticeable by Monday night. Gotta listen to my gut more. My head has a way of putting a new spin on everything though and making me question just about every damn thing. Good and bad I guess =\

yeah, this plant has actually got the smallest buds of of the 3 too! The smallest in the 1.5 gallon has the biggest one that's just about as big at the main cola from the first bb I grew out. She's pretty close to the light and showing a bit of heat stress, but other than that big chunky buds comin out of the little 1.5 pot. Not sure about the lb, but my technique has gotten much better, gotta get close to a lb with the 4 combined. Hoping around 20 oz total. 5 oz per plant doesnt seem out of this world and would be just under 1g/W. Probably more like 8oz, 6oz, 4oz and 2oz(f'ed that db pretty bad but doing much better)

chopped the first bb today. Lookin like a good yield. Really dense buds, lots of good dense smokin buds this time, not nearly as much fluff. got the slightest color change out of her. Surprised I got any with the high temps lately.

Just how the tents lookin after choppin the first bb and putting the 1st db pheno back in there. Topped the hell out of her and also topped her right before going in since she's so tall to start with. Interested to see if she'll fit in there. Can't wait for this one.

Just tried out some of the first bb. Gotta say I am liking the high more cutting her 7 days sooner. More of a head high. Creeps up a bit, and once she starts to hit the body high comes in. This is like a straight up 50/50 hybrid high, love it. Flavor is less piney this time too and more of a sweet lemony after taste. Definitely could have done a better job on the flush, but still beats anything from any dispensary. The next one is fading up quite nice and should be flushed quite well by the time I chop her next week. Not sure if I'll be able to fit it all in my little drying rack, next one looks to be about 2x as big as the first

I'll have to go read up on em I suppose. Flushing and drying/curing are my biggest downfalls at the moment. I do mine a little off. My feed schedule recommends a light stage feed for a week before flush, then just a one week flush.

What I do instead is just water to normal run off with straight water for that week. The ppms of that alone come out pretty high and is more than enough. I feel like that amount has got to be the equivalent of what the lower dose feed for the 1 week prior to flush would be. Then 7 days before chop I give them the big flush until my ppms come out below 50 and the water looks essentially clear. Then I usually just water till normal run off till a couple days before chop.

Loving the stems on these db and bb, very hardy but still hollow. Dont need any type of support with these girls and they have some weight on em!



Oh yeah, heres a couple shots of pretty much the worst fluff out of the bb. Still good smoke even being wet and somewhat under flushed and very fluffy.

ok the sour bubble is definitely taking over, lol. Getting sleepy and hungry as fuck now, but lovin every minute of it. Gonna need damn near every little bit of this lb lol.

Really liking the less piney, more sweet lemon flavor to it this go around.

Getting a bit better at the harvesting and drying part. I was already expecting some bud rot this time (remembering that funky smell I got about 2-3 weeks into flower).

I trimmed them up a bit more than usual after chop. not sure if that help/hurts with bud rot. Helps in the manner there is less moisture, but hurts in that you are touching potential bud rot with the scissors and spreading it to potentially unaffected areas I believe.

Anyway, trimmed them up a bit more and put them into my drying rack with the vent pretty much all the way up for the first day, the about midway on the second, and down to about a third yesterday. I went to go check some of em and found a little bud rot, just the beginnings (tiny little red hairs that were extra dark and off color) on about 1/5th of the buds. It's always on the colas and where the buds are still touching the main stem. I went ahead and chopped everything off the stems, destroying many beautiful buds in the process, and put everything, single layered, into brown bags. Checked on it today and much of the rot I thought I was seeing appears to have gone away. Im sure it's still there, dead and dried now, but I feel I nipped it in the butt just in time and stopped the shit from spreading. I really wanted to leave them on the stems for another day but think this has stopped the bud rot from spreading big time. Glad too cause I woke up at 10:30 and it was already 82F in my room with the tent. Not the best conditions for growing, much less harvesting and drying.

Thinking when I suspect bud rot I may just trim everything off the main stem and set everything out on racks to dry. It'll dry fast and wont taste as good, but fuck bud rot. I'm so tired of the shit. Got it this time cause I packed everything way to tight into the tent without proper air circulation within the tent. Next run is gonna be a bunch of db in 1.7gallon pots spread out more.

bb smoke is getting gooood too. Much smoother already, and the pine cone flavor is really kicking up. Tastes better somehow this time already, even with the, I'd say 70% flush. Definitely still more indica dominant chopped a week earlier. Has a nice sativa ish high in the beginning, starts all in the head. Then moves to the body and ur fucked lol. I can feel my head high melting and dripping like a candle into my body weighing it down each minute. A very cool high morphing actually.

Not as hard a couch lock as fast as in the first go of her. Just feels right this time. Definitely an 8 week girl.

Oh yeah Tony, does your bb have almost a slight yellow hue to it? At first I thought it was rot or something, but starting to notice it just about everywhere and doesnt really look like rot. Just like a slight yellowness to the stems and more pulpy stuff. Almost like a mild yellow-green. Throws me off but Im confident it's not any rot, just curious if yours ever looks similar.

I'm running a 400 CFM 6" inline fan right now for the tent/hood, then I also have one of those window box fans hanging up in the tent. I added a small oscillating fan in the bottom of the tent moving all the air below the canopy around since that's where the smell was coming from when it started at 2-3 weeks.

The smell only lasted about a week while I improved the air flow. Thought it was the stuff that grows on the top of ur soil sometimes, think it's called miners moss. I read you get that from moist soil and high humidity, which I had both of at the time. Noticed it once before in my veg space and saw the stuff on a few pots. Wasnt bad, just had a very noticeable off smell. Reminded me of something fermenting or something. Like fermenting lettuce or something.

Oh yeah, the air flow into the tent comes from the bottom and the exhaust is at the top. I thought that air flow would be enough through the tent but guess it wasnt. I think after adding the small oscillating fan in the bottom and keeping things a bit thinner in the tent I wont have any more bud rot issues.
