ok, now i am starting to understand why there's always have been this big talk about OGs... i am most familiar with european genetics, now i am starting to explore USA genetics and it's blowing my head. smelling my buddha tahoe OG kush is like having a flashback of 1999, when - as a teenager - i had the pleasure to spend a month in california with a friend. you know, one of these travels that shape the way you are. the pot we were smoking was mostly from the street in haight-ashbury and it wasn't that good but stronger that any ganja we ever tried... (at home we had moroccoan hash) but one time we meet a nice guy... kinda hippy guy, he was travelling from northern cali. we offered him our street weed and he said "no thanks, i got mine" and he took from his bag a small glass jar with a couple of nice intact colas inside... i would never forget those balsamic smells of pine/pinesol... it's funny how the sense of smell is so directly connected with memories, one of the reason why i like cannabis so much. my buddha tahoe og has this pine/pinesol odour plus some burnt gum and even something milky sweet on the background. really incredible. she's been flowering for 58 days in a 3,6 lt pot. she's almost ready, so i'm happy to have a 8 weeker in my garden. with some training i can get a better structure out of this plant i think... but i am loving everything about her, expecially those hard rock nugs. now i want to try more stuff made in usa, i have a very nice cheech wizard clone from my friend el principe i can't wait to flower, then i think i will get some gear from humboldt (probably sour diesel and lemon thai kush), emerald triangle seeds, some more bodhi and some more caliconnection. ;-)

so it looks like this year i'm having a couple of cannabis plant on my balcony, along with tomatoes, peppers, habanero chocolate, rosemary, basilicum, sage, capers, and various other weeds and flowers... it's a sweet sunny balcony, facing south-west, with a nice breeze and small buildings around... so a lot of sun (central-west italy). too bad i had to cover it, so plants get 5-6 hours of direct sunlight and a lot of shaded sunlight. i choose my fav. cuts for this year: in one 11lt pot we have 2 smaller clones of moondog and shit #3 (strawberry pheno) in another 11 lt pot a nice gfxbb clone (the blueberry pheno i found); here she is gfxbb in 11 lt of all-mix plus extra perlite. she's drinking water and a little of product-x from biobizz (got it at a fair, it's a new thing should be kinda their algamic/bioheaven); everybody has been sprayed with neem oil (1ml/l solution) as a prevention; all non-cannabis plants also got a phyretrum threatment as prevention.

i've got a bunch of these cactuses. this is 2-3 years old... mostly bought at a supermarket where for some time they gave you a small plant for free if you spent 20 € or something... they were so tiny when i first got 'em... now with a bigger pot and some all-mix they're getting bigger!

dear fellows,
last week i harvested the buddha tahoe og at 68 days flowering. it has dried hanging for 7 days, 1 day in paper bag, and now -since yesterday- it's starting the cure in the glass jar. i couldn't resist a taking little taste of it yesterday, very very nice! it's different from what i'm used to pine and some milky sweetness in the back. on the low-side, yeld-wise (but real hard nugs), but i think this can be improved with some training, i'm looking forward to do her again. here she is, last 2 pics are from 2 days ago, when i put the buds in the glass jar...

and i also harvested my psicodelicia #2, at 75 days flowering. she's obviously a more sativa leaning pheno. very nice production in only 3,6 lt of biocanna soil, as you see a quite big main cola. on the other hand, odours are nothing special: a generic herbal/floral smell... the heat played a role for sure, i will do her again with better temps... ;-) now she's hanging... i hope for the famous psicodelicia's electric high. here she is... (i compared the main cola with an iphone 5 - last pic features the cropped stem detail and a tiny scissor hash ball ;-))

hey man, thanks for the interest! this thread is not so used to it! anyways, i don't have much new on the bud porn side... i have some Shit drying and almost ready to be harvested (but enough with the shit!), i have a gfxbb and a moondog halfway into flowering 2 very small psicodelicias (1lt pot) flowering and i just put into flowering 1 CBD Lavender and 1 Ziel-Zielona's X-Dog (both from seed). then i have 2 sweet tai's (sweet seeds) vegging along with 1 cheech wizard (bodhi) clone selected by my friend elprincipe (tasted: delicious piney funk - great plant!) and everything else i am running. i'm planning to select some Bodhi in the fall... i really want to explore the OG world i was thinking to Love Triangle and/or Larry OG, Skylotus, Love Dawg (have you tried any of these?). very soon i will run some extractions from the trim of everything harvested in the past 3 months and some flowers from shit #1... so, hopefully i'll have something more interesting to show soon

since you mentioned, i'd like to tell what happened to the balcony grow: i had to abort my canna-growing on the balcony. after about one week since i posted this photo of a nice gfxbb clone in 11lt which was growing nicely:
after 1 week i was saying, a exceptionally strong (for early july) wind storm completely destroyed our balcony's coverage. it's a strange summer down here. then we decided it was best to let go this nice idea. so i moved the 2 11lt pots (with 3 plants: 1 gfxbb in one pot and 1 shit#3 and 1 moondog in the other) inside my house, in the bathroom behind the window (which has this kind of opaque glass used for bathroom windows). i thought to let plants survive there while i was thinking what to do with them, wether to flower them indoor or to give them to friends. so after a month of growing in the bathroom (with high rh obviously) the gfxbb looks like this, she's gorgeous and big! didn't expect this much growth there, but i guess the high rh values of the bathroom did the trick. despite i used neem regularly, she has some thrips... not a big deal but i wouldn't ever move her in my pest-free indoor garden so she's leaving today to some lucky friend's balcony operation. i really wish i could keep her around in my living room! this one's for you, Kal. another gfxbb lover!

yeah, that's a shame, but i will taste some gfxbb grown outdoors anyways!

about Shit: i started 10 seeds, got 4 females and #3 was the winner. i'm not sure how long i will keep her... she doesn't like the heat i can tell you: this summer's shit#3 is way worse than the one grown in winter/spring. (other strains can hold the heat better... i think gfxbb still does ok in a summer indoor grow - i have one in flower for 40 days... i'll show you). shit#3 is very resinous, i plan to do some crosses, she would probably be good for that! speaking about crosses, i have done my first controlled cross! the female is a very small clone of an unknown strain grown by a friend. he has been collecting seeds from the best ganja he smoked in the past 15 years... i think this one is kinda northern light-ish from more than 10 years ago... (probably from switzerland) really nice! i crossed it with a gfxbb male... a male that has resin on leaves! he was flowering, rootbounded, under 12/1 veg lights (been using 12/1 in veg for about 2 months... works great!), so i thought this is a nice chance. i saw some calyxes swollen yesterday...

Moondog is a great strain! genetic is bluemoonshine x chemdog d. breeder is ziel-zielona (from icmag ). my pheno is very sativa. most people cut it at 60-70 days... mine i think can go over 80 days! i think she is chem dominant. while flowering, she smells of sweet lemon cleaner/paint, when dried/cured she has this wonderful balsamic floral taste of rose/ambrosia... really nice. the buzz is very sativa and uplifting. a great daytime smoke, i'm happy i have her. i am running her again and planning to let her ripen better than last time... she's also a good yelder, you can see that on some pages back on this thread.

Just read this last night, amazing show! Im doing something kind of similar myself, just a tiny bit smaller sized.
Summer time temperatures can be a pain in the ass for a hobby grower, feel you there. I have had good experience with Mandala strains tolerance to higher temperatures.
Will be visiting again in this thread when i need my fix of budporn

thanks man for this nice comment! yeah, this is the last summer i am growing without some air conditioning and/or using non heat tolerant strains. gfxbb and buddha tahoe og did well with hot temps. last summer i had nice results with amnesia... just smoked some shit i harvested a couple of weeks ago: potency is there, but very little flavor compared to winter Shit. i guess cannabinoids hold temps much better than terpenoids (something i already knew... real life reminder ). i'll post some pics later on this evening... ciao!

so, yesterday i took some properly dried Shit, i thought to make a couple of pics... ;-)

summer temps have enhanced the musky/earthy flavours, which i'm not crazy about. shit #3 usually gets the strawberry cheesy aroma while curing... so i still hope to get some strawberry ice cream! however, i don't think i am going to grow shit during summertime... other strains just perform better and hold more terpenoids.
shit #3 is very resinous even with high temps: i'm happy about this, i think it would be nice to use her in one of my future pollen chucking sessions! ;-)
this batch of shit #1 will go in the freezer to do some proper extractions (ice, oil maybe bho). ;-)
