Bodhi seeds seem to make some vigorous plants. Im running a Lucky Charms by bodhi and its one of the biggest and stinkiest so far at my spot.

How often are you guys watering ?

yah our Bodhi's are all very vigorous, i wish we had popped more cuz they are the healthiest plants in the garden. Lucky Charms sounds good, white crosses always come out frosty as hell. The Lucky Charms has a different father than our Bodhi strains, all of which are Snow Lotus offspring. I am curious to try some of his Appalachia crosses, if they are as vigorous as the Snow Lotus line i will be impressed.

We water based on how dry the pots are, which is now every 2-3 days.

I think i already kind of touched on this, but we got an earlier start this year, bigger plants earlier in the season. that is the biggest difference. and we have more soil per plant. All the changes we've made are improvements, no regrets with the setup so far. Also we have better strains this year, last year we used random seeds from our partner's seeded indoor crop.

Biggest lessons learned so far season, which we will change for next year:
-supplemental lighting; We were lazy and the garden suffered because of it.

-start seeds and clones in soil.. we are still having issues because our plants were started in coco.

We are happy with our new soil mix so far, all plants in it look very healthy. We top-dressed everything with neem cake and some DTE Vegan Mix but only plain water besides that so far.

gonna order some stuff to foliar this week.

if by tensiometer you mean finger, then yes

we would like to be more scientific. Never used a tensiometer. Any reccomendations?

Another IC grower told us about this thing, is that good?

no worries advice is always wanted man, those moisture probes on the ranchsystems website look cool. If we get some for our garden, wonder how much it would cost. BYF do you use them? how many needed per plant, and what is the range on the wireless? I'll do some more research but if anybody want to chime in on this moisture thing feel free

I just switched to drip emitters....they leave a lot spots dry and soak others... kind of seems like the plants like it though... before that I was playing with waiting until the plants started to show signs of under watering to get a reference point and then watering four or five hours before that on the next cycle...adjusting a little bit for hot days.. right now I'm giving about 20-25 gallons per 300 gl mound every 2 days...

the human body is a pretty advanced piece of equipment though.

Those water probes are dumb. I get dialing everything in, but a probe you have to put in every pot? How much does it cost? Looks like the finger probe is the winner to me.

Do you really think you need a probe in every bed? If all the beds have the same mix and same amount of water going to them, as long as the strains grow at the same rate , on ear two probes per zone is plenty.

I've never needed a water probe or anything like that…the new drip system i made totally covers the entire mound in 10 minutes. in NorCal blend i like to keep it moist/wet 100% of the time, once the top goes dry it takes forever to rewet. the plants seem to love the constant watering and I've only seen signs of over watering on 1 or 2 finicky OGs….everything else stays tracking every hour of daylight.

i water every single day at this point...

I just finished my drip and was wondering if I should do everyday light to medium or every 2 or 3 days heavy. im leaning towards the everyday with these temps and dry humidity out here. schrews looks like things are back on track for yall I knew it would be, awesome gardeners worry constantly anyways. those sunsets are amazing bro

yes definitely go every day….waiting 2-3 days is gonna dry out the tops til their bone dry. and then its gonna take extra water to re-wet and you could stand there watering for 30 minutes and still barely penetrate 6 inches…with dry spot hidden underneath the wet.

i hit drippers for 10 minutes on each row, puts approx 20 gallons on each mound and wets the top down. then i come back and put another 10 minutes and the second watering is able to penetrate deep down. I've been putting a steady 20-40 gal a day on each plant, never skipped a day yet and they point up and track every single day…

also the fact that my mounds are not on top of trenches i have excellent drainage, it all hits the clay and goes right out the sides. its drains out into the middle of each mound which have another half yard of soil, it basically collects all the runoff and stays wet 24/7 and the roots absolutely love it they are spreading out so far its crazy.

from my experience, deep waters every couple days are superior if you are properly mulched...
