organic LPs in canada

Well, just finished filling out the forms for Whistler LP for my doctor appointment coming up. Hit their site, and they are now closed for new apps until fall. Great. Should have gone to doctor last week. Does anyone have other suggestions? Are there any other organic LPs in canada that have meds and accepting new patients? OR anyone have other suggestions of non crap selling LPs with good quality/clean meds? I mean aaa+, not some tweed crap. really the only reason i was going to bother was for the access to stable/consistent organic strains.. so this makes me question the whole thing.

Also, im sure i know the answer, but figure id ask anyway. is it true in the fall, i will need to get resigned in order to change to whistler, or another organic grower?

what a pita this is.

thx

Whistler is NOT organic, I've worked for those guys and they are a joke, closest they get ot organic is the promix lol.

Sounds like an access issue, thus a violation of your charter rights.

Don't sue the LP, sue HC. They are the ones preventing you from obtaining your medicine with the MMPR...

I did some electrical work for them, I am an electrician but am now working on getting my HVAC ticket, 3rd year now. I know one of the principals and I would never buy anything from them.

What makes you say that, specifically? What about their methods were not up to organic standards, in your view?
=============================

As far as other "Organic" options, TONS of LP's call themselves "Organic" but I don't think any of them knows what that term really means. For one, you can't be certified if you don't grow in soil. Hydro/aero can't be certified. I've seen NO actual certification from any of them. I think they think it means 'all natural' or something.

Sounds like when he was there they were just doing the standard lucas formula + pro mix.

Based on the other post from c-ray I'm guessing they switched from that methodology, but perhaps it's a lie.

that post from c-ray creeped me out (thx c-ray!). maybe im jaded, but.. buying a 'organic system' "tm" (wtf is up with the tm!!) from a 3rd party, i suspect absolves all guilt/failures of such a pile of bullshit from whistler, and onto the "organic" supplier, if they even exist. thus avoiding or deflecting lawsuits as they crop up. like wtf patents/trademarks orangics? i cant even wrap my head around that shit. that shit pissed me off tbh. I mean what i grow, i even know what the worms are fed. and can name all the soil amendments/tea ingredients. to trademark/buy 'ogranic systems' from a 3rd party? wtf. I would say there is 0 chance its actually being grown organic, at least from a OMRI standpoint. but, maybe im wrong. reading the kindhouse website pissed me off to no end.

i duno. its all sad to me. i just want someone who can sell me some legal/clean meds i can trust that i dont need to grow myself! Seems its not as simple as that.

It's a lie, Whistler is growing in Pro-mix and spray with some nasty chems to control an outbreak of Fusarium.

maybe that why they stop accepting patients? lol. i doubt it. but.. less chance of lawsuit i think. personally id call that fraud. competition bureau type shit.

at best its fucking rude to lie to people expecting organics.

and it keeps on coming.

lucky we have the mmpr to protect us from evil growers.

Thanks for sharing. Promix contains a non-organic wetting agent, so they can't be considered truly organic based on that alone.

Are Perlite, Dolimite considered organic? How about the nutrients that are added to Pro Mix.

Perlite can't be organic as it rock.

im pretty sure the rules for 'organics' in canada are pretty much non existent, or subjective at best. someone start a LP and list all your media/inputs publicly, as well as pest control strategies. Let us make our own decisions. imho, such a company would do well. I know i'm trying to buy, but i cant. don't even know who to recommend to sick friends.

according to some certifiers I was talking to, plants grown under artificial light / as their main source of light/ cannot be certified..but there are lots of certifiers and some of them are pretty lazy when it comes to the regulations

Well look at OMRI pay them enough and they'll certify you MRI listed lol. Just like CSA...

ORMI has their own issues for sure, but at least there is a staring point. Will we ever get to the organic obsession/quality that PPL/DG's or even non licenced people that give a fuck, in the LP space? I doubt it. i highly doubt it. but we can always hope I guess. Just too bad when they have all the money, and opportunity, to make a difference. But maybe only a few of us care. probably not enough to make a difference.
