Real deal holy field MOB aka NE Blue Hash Plant. Hopefully running about 20 of them plus KKSC as the bulk of my girls to get a quicker harvest in September and let my OGs run into October with a few Hazes finishing in November.

I'll be transplanting and making paths no longer paths this week, should be a good time. I love shaping nature man. I can't wait to see your progress so far, your links in your signature actually inspired my grow for this season... not sure if I've told you that yet but they're sooooo helpful. Silverback sounded like a fuckin God in the bush...
If anyone comes close, they're fertilizer.

Gemini, do you set up any game cameras on the legs to your patches?

Good idea w the fishing line... I've used it before.... great way to grow vines up and hide spots or paths over time mixed with large downed branches and limbs to make a green wall.
Noah no game cameras... no need in my areas as they are odd... urban but remote.... no one really ventures to these areas and absolutely no reason to go into these locations plus lots of natural barriers; blackberry bushes, brier bushes, creek bed(4' high) and lots of large bushes.... plus their partially swamps lol
No real update... everything is still cooking.... bringing more bales out and lots more fert and supplies
Nettles are growing pretty quick soon to be transplanted.

How long are you letting your Espoma cook for? And if you wouldn't mind going through the planting process that'd be helpful, I'm wondering how you plant directly in the ground pretty much as this is my first time not using pots. I've heard of some guys using contractor bags to line their holes, others prefer not to though. Is there anything special you do besides that? We're on the exact same schedule I feel like, I'm still hauling bales/supplies too and need to go out tomorrow to dig some more holes lol. I'm at 43N, are you anywhere near that?

What up warthog.... how's Cali treating ya bro? Been a minute since that Further Concert... nope nothing in holes yet.....but there are clones in the cloners getting roots...late start....close to 20 MOB...a few pre98 x green crack....6-10 kksc and a few random OGs also started a bunch of seeds jack here x and c99 x maybe 20-30(didn't count).... I will be planting all the way up till August....plan was to already be in the ground but you know how plans go lol
Hey TM....yeah I hear the occasional person but they never venture off the road that's 100m away but its impossible to move through those bushes unless you crawl but make lots of noise so not too worried about em I just sit quietly till they pass.
Some has been cooking for 4weeks and some for 2-3weeks...its all ready to go.
If I were going to limit my plants by lining a hole with bags I'd just grow in a container and avoid the hassle of digging. I dig a 5gallon hole fill with my mix (water crystals at the bottom) plant into that and use the native soil to mound on top of my soil....cage em up and I'm done. I did dig a few bottom-less 18gal totes into the side of a hill to prevent erosion. I have a few 2'x2' holes that I've been recycling for 4seasons.
Only reason for the holes with liners is to make the plant root bound which will cause it to flower sooner.... I've found it just as effective to plant on the west side of a large bush so morning sun is blocked and they get lots of evening sun....something about the amount of light or type of light helps them flower quicker.... allowed me to chop end of September a clone that takes 12wks to finish indoors.
If its an area probe to coons and skunks that dig I'll wrap my root ball w chicken wire and attach that to the cage then bury it to prevent digging damage.

That's what's up man, can't wait to see your season kick off. I like the rodent prevention, I don't have much fencing but I have a bunch of landscape cloth that I'll attempt to ward off any digging critters with by laying it down over my hole before I mulch... will hold it down with garden staples and see how that does.

Well the season has taken and unexpected turn.... timer on the clover went and 40 clones turned to mush with roots just starting to poke.... a few local guys are coming in clutch to minimize the turn around time...so just a bump in the road to Croptober
Going to start another 60 seeds of blue blood (c99 cross) and jack here x 4sd to make up in numbers what we've lost in veg time.
I've heard of the book but never read it I'm sure its a good read.
Will update with the progress and new strain list.

Which parent was dominant do you think?

Well def keep me updated even if you post it here....the female you'll want IMO is going to smell of pine/alpine/pine-sol, should be done close to end of September and should be very mold/pm resistant....bugs didn't seem to like her either.....I just popped a bunch of them to find a few keepers to make more seed.
Going out before dawn on Sunday to plant my seeds that are germinating right now. Couple of my crosses and my buddies crosses

(20) Jack dawg (jack here f5 x 4SD)
(33) N.E.D... (DoubleDiesel[ECSD pheno] x 4SD

I will be taking pics and prepping my hillside the runs along the field that my clones will be in. Clear out a 1m circle. Dig 7gal hole, 1tbsp water crystals at bottom, place chicken wire cage in hole, fill with my hot mix, mound native soil and leaf litter in top then plant 1 clone or 7seeds per hole. Then a liberal amount of d.e. will be spread over that area to lessen the chance of slugs and steel wool will be wrapped around inside edge of the cage or loosely around the base of clones.
Need a bag of ewc and compost to add to my first couple waterings which will be weekly until I think they will be fine on their own.

Im using copper wire wrapped around the base of the stalks loosly.

i grabbed some copper wire.. and stripped the insulation off.. and just wrap that around the base.. works great for slugs.. havent found a single slug on my plants.. i put one wire around the base at soil level.. and then 1 right before the first branch.. so if they somehow get on there.. they dont make it to the buds. or tops.

Both ways work well ... JO I like the idea of stripping the wire and wrapping multiple sections
Copper shocks the slugs .... steel wool is very abrasive a difficult for them to climb over...plus d.e. and rough sand ....they don't stand a chance.
For the amount of plants I need to protect I spent most on soil/amendments and cages.... steel wool was cheaper with similar results so that was my major deciding factor.
All the white rhino popped....tiny tails
