You know Im not to sure but I did some research and it was a possibility (plus it doesn't hurt) yea same here but not in the mountains I'm more of in a valley with not a lot of wind barriers you should be fine though best of luck to you!!

using a chemical fert like maxi grow, and then trying to use a organic approach to growing i.e teas and such, doesnt really work that well, imho

every time you douse your plants with chem ferts you petty much kill off any benefits you would get from a organic approach

Thanks for the info! I appreciate it, I dont know much about organics and how they work (still researching) I will deff do more before any applications, thanks for looking and giving a response

This is truth and the live soil microbes; somehow, i don't know how, but some how, make your plants hardier to lack of water, mildew, etc and it really becomes noticeable later in the season when the days get shorter and plants immune systems get weaker.

I have grown zucchini side by side with chicken manure from my own chicken in one and with chemical ferts the other. Zucchini are very susceptible to powdery mildew in, especially in the fall or if you overhead water. kind of like some other plants I can think of Now the zuch that got the chicken shit went late into the season producing fruit with think lush hardy green foliage. Meanwhile the chemical fertilized zuch was dying from powdery mildew as the days got shorter in the fall.
