5 Sour Power/Biker Kush & 6 StarBud Sister/Biker Kush seeds were germinated 3 weeks ago.
They were just transplanted from Solo cups to 1 gallon pots and set under a 1K SolarMax Gold bulb (dialed down to 750W).

Off to a good start it seems...looking forward to the seeing the results from the colab...

You know first hand that Biker male makes some great cannabis.

Yessiree! Biker Kush on it's own is the tastiest strain I've tried so far.

Hortilab OR Karma x anything = FIRE

The collaboration couldn't be more promising imho.

Here's proof that crossing their gear is a GREAT thing.

She turned out stellar.

Hortilab x Karma co-op 4 weeks of veg update: Sorry for the picture quality.

Germination rates:
5/6 Sour Power x Biker Kush
5/6 Starbud Sister x Biker Kush

They all appear to be very happy. That's making me feel good. :dance013:

The other plants pictured are Carolina Blue/Digitalberry x Flo & Cannatonic x Flo.

Hey Karma
Yeah, the Sour Power/Biker Kush are incredibly tightly noded.
I'll raise the light to get a little stretch on them soon.
I've grown both, your Biker Kush and Hortilab's Sour Power before.
They both turned out great, so I'm confident these will be spectacular in flower.

Thanks SourDank. :tiphat:

You can't go wrong with Stank Bros gear.

Someday soon I have to pop more of those gems.

Grom really tastes great and she packs a punch too.

I'm really looking forward to flowering out the Karma Genetics/Hortilab testers.

They are looking to be world class top shelf plants even though they're still in veg.

For shits & giggles, I tried germinating a couple Grapefruit/Mango x Purple Haze seeds (jojorizo).

Only one germinated and it went into a jiffy 7 and then into a 1 gallon pot of the same medium.

FLIPPED ON JULY 1ST

FLIPPED ON JULY 1ST

I culled all males from this crop. Just not enough room this time.
3 Sour Power x Biker Kush, 2 (both) Blockhead OP's, and 1 CBDB x Flow were males.

The remaining girls are all looking very good & will be in tomato cages soon.

The 2 tallest plants at the back in this pic are the Sour Power x Biker Kush girls.

The other tall plants are Starbud Sister x Biker Kush EXCEPT FOR the tall plants in one gallon containers; those are the Flo crosses.

The shortest plants (barely visible in the foreground) are King Kush and G/M x Purple Haze.

Thanks for stopping in. :tiphat:

you're going to clean up the lower parts of the plants, right?? Maybe not pull the fan leaves, but certainly pinch out the bud sites below a certain point, right??? ;)

Thanks DF. I knew there was something I needed to do to get the results I've seen others getting. I probably need to be more aggressive with the pinching.

You figure no bud sites lower than 15-18" from the base as a general rule...

And then I try to keep the sweet spot of the flowers no deeper than 3ft of canopy on 1k's

Thanks for the mentoring Frank. :tiphat:
Gotta admit today is the first time I've done such a thorough cleaning up of lower growth so far.
Not sure how the plants feel about it but I'm feeling a bit stressed out by it myself.. Sympathy pains?
If the girls survive the experience I'll post up an updated pic soon.

You may suffer yields by like a 1/4oz - but what you do get will be MUCH higher quality.

Really, you're only taking off the larf. Some people strip the plant completely - but I tend to think of the leaves as photocells...the power plants of photosynthesis...thus the reason I suggest pinching of the budsites on the secondary growth below a certain point and leaving the fan leaves. I like to thin things out in veg, a week before final transplant - and then again in flower - about 3wks in, once I see how things are starting to shape up. I've never made many extracts or concentrates - so the sugar trim has always covered my needs - I've always needed my flowers to fill up the jars - and there is no room for the larf.

I know I have a good example of this:

I pulled the fans at harvest, but you can see where I had pinched all the lower budsites in these two pics rather well.

I think I try to keep about a 3-3.5' canopy - the light doesn't really penetrate enough past that point for me. That means depending on the plant, the lower 15"-18"-24" of the plant gets pinched out...
