I've been wondering about the best means of venting vacuum exhaust.
I've noticed my Robinair 15300 vents mineral oil primarily when actively pulling a significant vacuum (so when pulling up to -29 HG, in the first few minutes), and to a small degree, vents imperceptible amounts constantly.
How do you guys deal with your vacuum exhaust?
I know that Across International markets their vacuum pumps with exhaust filters. But they're around 150 dollars a piece, and only compatible with their vacuum pumps, at least according to Across International. Definitely a bit too expensive for something they will need to be replaced, and the same is true of their pumps.
I've personally tried attaching hex nuts with NPT fittings between 3/8 to 1/4, to allow me to attach a vent hose, which I would just put out a window, but none of the fittings will fit, as it's probably not a standardized size. That would be too easy![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Any ideas on how best accomplish filtration or venting of vacuum exhaust?
