anyway this phenos now seem to mature faster and lack of colour.
much more Afghan/Cheese like than the F1 I'd say.
not what I was hoping for in the first place, like I said.
I had at least 2 phenotypes when vegging this, my first F2 trial run. I started about 30 seeds for the purpose.

these 2 main phenos I came across from what I saw difference in leaf pattern during veg.

in flower the left pheno seems to be very fast.
I am all curious about the high of this one.

flowering day 47 + 38 (le) 48 (ri)

the other phenotype is not that fast, and comes close to the F1 but as I said with a lack of purple so far :(

with them I hoped to find what I had in mind for a F3, but surprisingly they too seem to mature faster than the F1.

fd 21

fd 38

this also looks like to need not the 70 days + I expected.

I'm not sure if the high of this 7 week phenos will be the same like before in the F1. this is my main concern here.

to finally get to the point I'd like to ask how I should bred further to preserve at least the sativa up high and the yield while getting back the purple or rosa it has been named for?

I guess it's all about the males and no other way around test crosses?
with my modest breedinge experience I have no clue how a male would affect the high of a cross?
the only criteria so far was stability, I have no idea of how selecting a male proper? I've never done anything more than using only hermie free ones.

I'd be thankfull for any advice on that. thank you

Hi Asche :) Thank you very much for your kind words, all credits goes to the chitrali native farmers that originally developed this strain for many generations, to the people at CBG, especially kaiki for sharing the line with us and let ACE release this amazing indica around 2008, and also to the people here at ACE Seeds that has been preserving and working with clones from best chitral parental plants for the past 10 years!

Your Purple PCK looks like a nice pheno, it's probably my favourite colorful expression, i'm glad you are producing your own seeds. Good luck ;)

How do the indigenous fertilize their crops?

This PCK of about a month and a half old is too eager to copulate!
I only wonder whether it is fertile or not:biggrin:

swadee krap guys

welcome another purple maniac in your ranks

I haven't personally grown PCK so far, but I all abot Pakistanis and hybrids. I finally got some of dubis from a friend and had them popped a few weeks ago, vegging more or less happy so far.
As soon as my actual flowering is finished, I will pay more attention to them.

but speaking of which, I hope you guys don't mind if I show an other chitral variety and ask few questions?

this strain is called Rosa, I'm woking on a F3 now. just for fun
originally its an Exodus Cheese x Cranberry Haze F1 from Breeders Choice Org. I came upon that the linage is very interesting because it has chitral genes too. started with 20 seeds back then, but the whole lot of F2s i made, provided me well with lots of stuff to play around further.

Cranberry Haze IBL = Colombian Gold/ Purple Haze x Chitral #1

the F1 was like the description, with around 73 days flowering time and a sativa high. also purple and with a sour berry smell.

After reading this tread and seeing all the nice pictures, I came upon that there are a lot similarities to PCK.
the Chitral/Indica part is overall very dominant in this cross imho.
even more in the F2 where onestly I hoped for much more sativa charakteristics from Cranberry Haze to work further with.
the actual situation with my F2 is that they are even faster in flowering and finishing in 7 weeks lol.
and i someway outbred the purple, at least for these phenos. altough i used multible dads and mums out of my 17 plants.

I know this numbers may sound ridiculous to a decent breeder, but I'm all about the passion and the fun of it

Welcome Hmong,

We have tried many PCK hybrids for the past years, PCK is very dominant in straight F1 crosses, that's good if you want to easily add the colors and forest fruit aromas into your hybrids but maybe you will need to dig more in the F2 generations to find balanced traits of your hybrid that are not so PCK dominant.

I'm not familiarized with the PCK cross you are growing, we released 4-5 years ago a Purple Haze x Purple PCK limited edition ( Green Haze x PCK too). It was a very interesting F1 sativa/indica hybrid but still a bit late flowering. We also have tried a Cheese x PCK cross, nice smelling plants but low yielding overall.

Hopefully you can find a nice balance between the tropical sativa vigor and effect, PCK colors and its forest fruit aromas and the cheese terpene quality in your F2 generations.
Good luck!

Hi dubi. Do you know what the native Chitrali farmers use to fertilize their crops? Do they still use the traditional horse ,cow and camel dung method? Do you and kaiki also reproduce PCK the same way as the native Chitrali farmers do it? View Image

Hi Eye,

I'm not familiarized with how the chitrali growers fertilize their plants there. I always like to grow organically and that's the way i recommend to grow our strains. I like to use a mix of high quality peat moss from north europe, a bit of coco fiber to improve aireation, worm casting and guano. I only use composted chicken and cow dung when i have the chance to grow them outdoors in soil. The dung is too smelly and not very clean to add indoors.

Hi orfeas, should be fertile, all the PCK plants we have worked with for the past years have been fertile (females and males).

What's your plan for the pollen ? :)

Bubba Kush x Purple PCK F1

Bubba Kush x Purple PCK F1

We tried to make a decent selection from the Bubba Kush x Purple Pakistan F1 hybrid.

The hybrid is quite irregular and most of the plants were very low yielding, it didn't meet our expectations for this reasons but 1 in 10 were exceptional, like this one:

What's your plan for the pollen ? :)

The boy's grown a bit and started chucking out pollen from the lower little branches. Is it ok if I collect it now?

As for the plans, I haven't made up my mind yet, but I've got a few conchitas that might fancy a bit of a slap and tickle:biggrin:
So far I've got a PCK, a Jamaldelica reg, a Jamal Hash and hopefully a Banghi Haze and a Nepjam.

Dubi, you're the chief, you suggest!

Hi orfeas,

PCK makes excellent hybrids when she is crossed with sativas, like many people is experiencing. Indica x PCK route is not so easy.

You have great strains to cross with the chitral male, i like the idea of Zamaldelica x PCK.

Oye, dubi!
The male PCK I've got is red all over especially at the stalks, unlike the female one that has got no red hue at all but green all over.
Is the green pheno the stronger one?

All I see on this plant, besides the pollen sacks, is one-blade, two-blade and three blade leaves.
Is this normal?

nice, hes flowering allready, or what:biggrin:?
seems he transfered from seedling to flower without veg, now in a somewhat semiflowering state - the single blade leaves...

is he connected to the irrigation tube?;)

He's been flowering since May and I have already collected some pollen.

As for the irrigation tube, I planted him next to my tommies thinking that he might be compatible with Black from Tula:laughing: and I might get high eating them:biglaugh:

Asche

you will get a little high from the Black from Tula without the pollen :)
Tomatos contain nikotin, you can smoke the leafs hehe
not sure if they accept the PCK pollen though :D

but that would be an interesting thing
tomatos with THC, perfect dinner!!!

Na Du!

I've been growing BfT for a few years now, one of the best toms ever tasted along side a local variety called "apple".
