Severely sick OG cross

This started happening a few weeks ago. I am guessing it is overfert due to salt build up, but wanted another opinion.

Im not totally sure of the EC levels and PH of every feeding because my grow bro has been in charge of this, but as far as I know:

-They are in coco.
-EC has been 1.0
-PH has been shaky because we have been using this nutrient that buffers at 6.5, and will drift up within 24 hours. But most of the time it is set at 5.8, as far as I know.
-Temps are at 80.

Since this has gotten bad they have been fed water at an EC of .03 and PH always at 5.8, this has been their diet for over a week and they dont really seem to be improving.

Anyone know whats up?

yeah those look really fucked, i would be checking for mites.. isn't obviously ph or any nutrient lock out or deficiency in particular to me,, they look thirsty and none productive as if something is sucking the life out of them.. if it isn't mites then they are badly burnt and the medium is still locking something key out.. :2cents:

seem you have a good cache of clones in the back I would plant them outdoors if possible and rejuvenate them and use the room for more productive plants

I know almost nothing about broad mites.. but thats broad mites for sure.
No need to check your run off or any other nonsense.
No foliar spray could do that.. sorry.

If I were u I would just toss all plants and clean the shit outta everything.
Heat the room up to 120 degrress farenheit for a couple hours.
You can do this by turning the lights on and fans off.
But make sure it gets to at least 120 for a couple hours.
Good luck

Edit- if you have some strains you are unwilling to part with, you could look into predatory mites.
Kill all your plants except 1 small clone of each strain you wanna save, and see if the pm's work:dunno:
It might be worth a shot.

After reading some of the broad mite thread, I am definitely thinking this is what it is. It happened relatively fast, started seeing the crinkled/upward curled sided leaves on the tips of all my purple frostbite plants, that looked exactly like the pics in the link Elements001 posted. This Kush wasnt really showing it at that point, then started showing it a week later and has progressively gotten worse to what it looks like now.
We trimmed all the affected growth of the PF plants and the new growth is exhibiting the same crinkled leaves on the new growing tips. The clones that you see in the upper part of the pic in my OP have also started showing the same crinkled/curled sided leaves.
There is just no way salt build up happened this fast and caused this severe of damage, especially since they have been getting the same 1.0 EC veg solution for over 6 months and doing fine despite the PH fluctuations. And the clones have been getting half strength PH'd water and they are exhibiting the same problem. Like I said Ive never seen a plant as fucked up as the one in my original post in 10 years of doing this.
Im going to check it out today. I'll post some more pics. This is a worst possible scenario it sounds like. Seems like the best thing to do is trash everything and start over. Anyone beat these little bastards?

You can beat them, but need to catch it earlier than that.
You need to cut all that down and stick it in like 3 plastic bags,
spray the whole area, the go take a shower and wash all your clothes...

Well its definitely bms. Saw them clearly with a 60x loupe. Everything is getting trashed. Really sucks, never seen these things before. Anybody know the best method of eradication/prevention? Ive only read a little bit of the BM thread but seems like its all over the place. Heat treatment, Avid, OG tea, Botaniguard, asprin......all of the above?

Obviously cull every plant. Clean the grow area like you've never cleaned before.

Do you know what the source is? If it's from a gifted clone, be more careful i suppose. If not, find out and dead the source. Do you ever see White Flys? They're a carrier of BMs. Look for plants with similar damage in your backyard.

Spray Avid and Forbid in veg for awhile, preventative. Triple Action neem and Spinosad can help a lot too. Just in case there's 1 or 2 that stick around, they will quickly be dealt with by these nasty chems. Then resume normal scheduling.

Ugghhh, scary... Gonna clean my veg tent today thank you for the motivation. BMs can also come in on just regular flys as well, anything flying they can achieve phoresy.. Good luck with that, like whatthe said I would cull every damn thing in there and start from scratch. Just aint worth it tryna revive dud plants.

Thanks, everything is gone and room is getting cleaned. Going to use Forbid and Avid on the next plants that come in as much as I dont want to. Hope that will keep things in check along with the bio tea. Have some spinosad laying around somewhere as well.

Consider cooking your grow space. 120+ F. Lights on maximum, ventilation and AC off, and space heaters are often necessary to get above 110f. Thermometers high and low to make sure you get all the nooks and crannies.

Even if it doesn't kill every mite or mite egg, I think it will help trigger stray eggs to hatch and begin their slow death with no food source.

Good luck man! You made the right decision. No half measures when it comes to the real harmful bugs.
