How to combat the heat when growing indoors?

I'm about to start my new indoor grow but I'm quite worried about the incoming heat of the summer... even if the summer is not too hot here in the UK, I believe is hot enough to ruin my grow. I already have seen my tent reaching 33º C when closed in the last few days (600W HPS on, passive intraction, extraction on to the max)... not that I care right now, as my plants are finished already, but I can't let this happen in my next one!
I would like to know some techniques/tricks from experienced growers to combat the heat in the indoor tent apart from the obvious (ventilation, extraction...), wich I will try to improve already.
I already put a bag of CO2 inside tent, as SPG* recommended to me... maybe I should put an extra one for summer? or is it enough with 1?
Any advices/suggestions will be highly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Peace :tiphat:

So we have:

Proper ventilation/extraction
CO2 bags
Grow at night / Sleep on daytime
Air cooled lights (cooltube?)

Any more?

Still I don't quite see the point in getting a cool tube and all the set up just for the summer grow... there has to be another efficient way of cooling the tent without having to spend that much money/time. Also, what I like from not having a cool tube is that it helps me getting the desired temperature during the rest of the year, as it's colder.

More fans? pointing direct to the lamp?
Frozen water carafes/bottles?

There has to be more solutions...

Air conditioner. I grew for a few years without the right setup, and after getting the right setup, its easy to see how much excess heat was hurting my yields.

I will check it out. Thanks!

But Air conditioner is very expensive... I'm looking for a more affordable/casual solution, as it's only for summer, and the heat is not that extreme either... but enough to cause harm...

What size fan and filter do you currently run?

How long is your duct run from this?

How big is your passive intake? How many of these are used?

What time where your running 12/12 from when it hit 33c?

Filter and extractor are 5".

For ventilation I have a 16" oscillating fan at max speed, and planning to get another 1 for the next grow.

The duct run is around 3-4 meters from extractor to extraction hole, in a vertical position and 90% of the run straight.

I use the 3 rectangular passive intakes from tent.

Right now I have autos (wich are already/almost finished), so I'm doing 20/4. In the daytime mainly, and when the tent is totally closed, it surpasses the 30º easily... I need to open it from all the sides and ventilate the room in order to low the temperature to 27º-28º... too hot... I know :1help:

A/C is a must .... every time the heat/ temp fluctuates by more than 5 deg.
the plants will stress.... U must combat this w/ A/C

U need ac. Its not too expensive its necessary. Your yield increase will pay for the ac within a run or two. I made excuses for years and paid the cost in time and lost $. Don't be like me.

U gotta pay the cost to be a boss lol, or u could listen to some who have gone through it, take the advice and make extra money.

Also, adding co2 only makes things hotter and wetter. If u are not dialed in co2 can make things worse.

I know you said apart from the obvious, but the 1st thing I'd do is upgrade that extractor and filter to a 6 inch, and use the 5 inch for air in. The 5 inch fan is alright with 250s and 400s but it isn't enough for a 600 except in the dead of winter, especially using passive intakes.

Extracting the Heat out is best unless you want to heat "part" of the house. ;)

Aww.. seriously guys? A/C is so expensive... I don't think it's worthy for the 2 summers that I'm gonna be in here... honestly... :noway:
Also, upgrade the extractor and filter already? I just bought them a few months ago!! I thought 5" was enough for a 600W and a 1,2 x 1,2 x 2 tent... :cuss:
So CO2 does nothing then? SPG* you told me it was the shit!!

It takes money to make money.

Buy once, cry once. Buy the best, do it right, and you will only cry about the price once. You will spend less money over the long run than you would if you go cheap and have to lose time and money fixing problems caused by going cheap and eventually buying the quality.
