My new CBD genetics - first run

Fingers crossed that these girls are ready in early April for entry into The Cup here in Denver
I'll post more soon, but here are a few - just under 4 weeks in:

Shack Attack - 34:1

One of the canna-tsu phenos that is throwing a 1:1

Sour Tsunami 2:1 pheno

What is the background on that Shack Attack? You don't see cuts with a ratio like 34:1 everyday. What are the absolute values?

The Shack Attack is a pheno of the Otto1 from Centennial Seeds. We went through hundreds of them and a lot of testing, but that is what we are seeing in early tests. We will see the absolutes here in a bit, but expecting around 12-14% based on previous results talking to Ben. We named it for Dr. Shackelford...Moonshine Man threw the name out and it was clever enough that is has stuck
I heard Ringo was working on some back-crosses with the Otto, but also heard his health has taken a turn for the worse. I hope he is well as I was just getting to know him and heard he is a really great guy...and I really want to see what he does with the Otto1 in his breeding program.

I have other plants with higher overall CBD %, but they have a reasonable amount of THC to go along with it. The award at the cup goes to the highest % vs. the highest ratio, so I will probably enter one of those that I should be able to pull higher numbers out of. Fingers crossed - it's my first event

It looks like you are well on the way to covering the spectrum from 1:0 to 0:1. What ratio would you consider to be effectively 1:0, are you there with the 34:1, or do you know of people that are sensitive enough that it must be higher?

Have you been collecting cuts from others, or is it seed -sifting only?

Do you use tlc to screen the candidates?

Are you just collecting for med production, or do you have further plans- you could do some really valuable breeding/seed making work with the stock you have acquired.

So it ends up at day 65, the 34:1 just jumped to 48:1, we have been hyping it a bit on twitter and facebook and such, but hadn't had a chance to post back here yet. --arguably only hemp is 'really' a 1:0, but this 48:1 does qualify as hemp and still has enough of the other cannabinoids to enable some entourage effect.

This has been a culmination of a grip of work in both seed-sifting and cut collecting.
We screen candidates at CannLabs...which is expensive, but worthwhile.

As far as plans - we are working with Dr. Alan Shackelford on clinical trials that are starting in Israel this summer. We are working on breeding projects here in CO working with not only all these CBD genetics, but also some of the higher THC varieties in the garden. I donate a lot of what we do to Flowering HOPE Foundation here in CO that provides free CBD oil to patients in need. and we are getting prepped for some of the upcoming changes here in CO - hemp agricultural license, cultivator/producer license, etc.
Between all that, and running some of the new grows emerging on the east coast - we are going to make sure these genetics are spread far and wide.

I generally don't sell cuts, but I have been known to give a few away to those in need
We are working on some seed lines now in collaboration with RD's diggity THC lines, Coastal's heirloom/landrace varieties and some inbreeding with these high % and ratio Otto1's. So we should have some interesting beans for the community early next year (maybe even some testers earlier if you catch us at a Cup event or something...we will be in San Fran, Seattle and Amsterdam).

Here is where that girl ended up at the end of her cycle. Some interesting spikes in cannabinoids and such through the life of the plant. and ending up at 23ish before conversion - not bad We are working on some crosses with 'the remedy' out of the northwest - which is also a high CBD pheno (approx 24:1), but shorter season and stacked internode spacing vs. these racy sativa varieties.

I live in Rural Iowa and have feral hemp everywhere. A Friend bought a 9acre fram, and has Hemp. I am wandering how soon in the plants life before I can test for CBD's?

If I find a patch with good #'s I would love to put a few LimeWarp s1's amonst the hemp to grow out in the sun, and create seeds to start My Own Gene Pool to work.

I see this as My Right to treat Myself as a Natural Being.

Thoughts in general on whether this is a sound plan, would be GR8ly appreciated.

Sounds like a plan. I have also read that juicing hemp flowers has resulted in good medicine. No clue if that has any validity.
