Planning a trip to San Diego in oct. best way to get clones?

Being located on east coast and as well as hush hush of the business, it's damn near impossible to get clones. I have a wedding in SD, and first time in cali, in oct so would like to use that opportunity to snag some new mothers and/or seeds. Can I just walk into any of these collectives and buy a few clones?

In order to legally purchase any cannabis related item in CA, you need to have a Dr.'s recommendation which requires state residency. Clubs won't let you in the door without one. That said....I'm sure you can 'find' something on craigslist....just be careful.

a friend of mine said to just use craigslist.. or use these forums not to acquire them . but to help you find a good dude to buy some nug off when your out there. since u cant go into any clubs or anything..

lol.. id proly talk to all my boys.. and see if any of them have any connects in the area im going to . and meetup with them and discuss the situation.. im sure someone will help you out.. but i wouldnt plan a trip to san diego to get clones without having a connect before going.. u dont wana leave empty handed.. or with a bunch of clones that are infected or bug infested.. or mold or bacteria infected.. or someone who tells u . hey this is GSC or GG4.. and then u get home to find out its some midgrade bagseed.

Just pop seeds man... As a CA native I'll be the first to tell you that, as a group, we do not have our shit together. I wouldn't tell anyone to go get clones on CL in CA - that would be like telling a virgin to make sure its a *crack* whore he loses it to.. The thing you'll be most likely to get on CL for clones is pests, pathogens, mislabels/renames and fakes - thats just statistically, if you're feeling lottery style lucky then go for it but don't say you were unwarned.

I appreciate all the replies, I had no idea it was that hard to secure elite clones in Cali. I figured it was a worth a trip in itself to go out there and get them myself. My thing with seeds is that you have nothing to compare it to, so when pop a pack of og kush seeds you don't know what is the best representation of that clone. I'm more of a taste and flavor guy and the one strain to date that blew my mind was LA Confidential. Strong, different, like incense and pretty potent too. Just had a white rhino x blueberry cross that had a subtle blueberry flavor on exhale but potentcy was lacking and flavor was strong enough to make up for it. There's just so many different variables to deal with already in growing media, nutes, harvest time, drying and curing process etc. That if you can get a elite clone that you know has the traits you can focus on other variables.

There are tourist friendly doctors, at the very least yiu could smoke a bunch of legit og and know what to look for in effects..

Cali DMV make timed reservations online. make yours 2 hours after your plane lands. use a passport for ID to get a cali id so you don't have to give up your home state id, hopefully you have a friend there that will let you use their address. you leave with a paper copy, they mail a hard copy a few weeks later. doc takes the paper id and gives you a rec. most dispensaries are cool with the paper id in LA. San diego is not a dispensary friendly area and you should plan to go to LA for the best dispensaries and genetics. there's a spot in the SFV area that just vends clones and has lots of the genetics you crave. you can have a med card fast easy and cheap and you will lose your mind when you visit places with 50, 60, 80 strains to check out. fly home with a tupperware in your suitcase that has your genetics.

take your card and go to Humbolt before you return home for the best clones and herb!

Do they give out or sell clones at any of the "cups" or big events? Possible could just make a trip to one of them instead. I've heard of some seed breeders giving out seeds and/or selling them as well.

they sell clones and seeds at cups and events in a separate area only for card holders.
4 hours and $150 and you have a card, it's the best investment I ever made.
