is this a credible news story?
They have been poking around our industry to see which breeders will work with them under the cover of a small genetics company. Was told this by a breeder they approached.
bullshit - there's no such thing as GMO cannabis. It does not exist nor will it ever. Come off it, they've only GMO'd pretty much every fruit and vegetable there is, so there's no way they'd ever do it to cannabis.

let them try it will be good for a laugh ,since if you don't use your product you have no way of knowing its full effects .the real goal is plants you can not breed with or clone with .if you think they will not put the terminator genes in anything they do guess again they have been doing that to the poor farmers for quite a few years now one seed one crop no viable seeds produced from the crop .the idea if their pollen escapes to someone else field and interbreeds with a viable heirloom crop and then Monsanto now owns the seeds produced from this cross pollination is the biggest danger we face as farmers .I don't think we need any help from them when their goal would be to pollute all the existing strains with their genes and clain title to everyones seeds because of the contamination with their crap .no to GMO's and no to these silly laws that let them steal some one else crops because their gene escaped on a bee fuck Monsanto and archer daniels the bullys of the land aloha cls

I was thinking they could make genes so superior it would put breeders out of business. Like a straight strawberry taste with a 35% thc content.
They aren't stoners, so they don't know what is desirable traits for plants. It's a lot easier to GMO food, because pretty much everyone can agree on what would be advantageous for the farmers and the corporations. When they are working with cannabis, they are trying to replicate things that are already popular, and put them into their own seeds with their gene modification, so they have their genetic markers to use for law suits. Remember, half the business model is getting their junk to cross pollenate with other farmer's fields and then suing them for using their genes.
Well if they can make a sturdy massive yield SFV OG there could be a problem. Idiots would jump all over that shit.

I'm sure they have been here for years... Most people at this site don't realize the powers that are watching. A few very well respected members here work for entities that are not on our side. While I can't say anything about their character, because I haven't met them personally, I have heard stories, and the fact is, they work for people with big money and big plans.

Unfortunately our "counter culture" failed us a long time ago, because we inherently are not planners and manipulators as a whole. We lost the game a long time ago by failing to have a "long game"
The people who are against us set up their long game in the 80s. It's all playing out now, and they have people in place that appear to be on our side, since they have been around for years in the industry. But when it comes down to it. They were put there by the powers that be a long time ago and now are in a position to manipulate and control the future of cannabis, especially as medicine, internationally.

I have enough genetics that I can carry on indefinitely. I haven't purchased seeds in almost 10 years. Between crosses I've made, and yet to make, I'm good to go until I kick the bucket. Fuck 'em. They'll never see one thin dime of my money.

These aren't the type of characteristics that they modify genes to enhance. They are in the business of engineering plants to withstand heavy doses of Roundup and to produce insecticide from within the fruit so insects die when they feed. (Roundup is now found in 90% of rain samples and a majority of mother's breast milk)
