Splitting Outdoor Harvest

I'm wondering about how to split an outdoor harvest and need some impartial input. So.. lets say there are four guys :grouphug:

Guy number one has the plants (very nice large plants):tree:

Guy number two has the cash for a greenhouse (needed in this climate) :pimp3:

Guy number three is the grower. :watchplant:

Guy number four is the land owner. :tiphat:

What percentage of the harvest should each of them get?
Thank you for your input.

There aren't actually 4 guys. I broke it down into 4 different time/monetary aspects (shares) because I didn't want to bias the response. I was merely trying to see if there should be inequality between the four aspects at harvest time.

Let me guess... You're Guy #1 + Guy #3?

Seems pretty logical, at least to me... #3 (grower) should have what #1 has ("very nice" plants; zero bias), but obviously doesn't have #2 (greenhouse) because if he did he'd do it himself rather than involve #4.

Is this one of those brain teaser puzzles or process of elimination exercises that they teach you in middle school?

There's potentially three people involved. Yes, I have the plants and can tend to them. A friend wants to put up the greenhouses and have me grow my plants in it. The land owner is all for it.

Need to sit with them today and wanting to be fair but not cheated.

:ying:

They'll get ripped and you'll lose your friends. Someone will decide they don't want to share and that'll be it. It sucks, but it's the hard truth. Work alone and you never have to worry.

Equal risk = shares . If one gets less than the other bad feelings will surface .

Any more than one TRUSTED buddy is trouble .

Never underestimate the evil that is brought out by drug dealing partnerships. It's like the Ouija board or something. Such an innocent and seemingly a good idea on the surface at first...

equal split the whole way....anything less might create problems.

seen so many friendships go sour over this type of arrangement.

who takes the blame if you run into legal troubles?

what happens to your mates green house once you guys are done? every detail needs to thought through and discussed. no room for assumptions or ambiguity.

everyone involved needs to understand they are only involved because they bring value to the table. otherwise you would just do it by yourself right?

i noticed you mentioned your contribution twice in that list, does this mean you think you deserve more than the other guys? might be off to a bad start already

Thanks for all the input.
Yes, relationships can go bad. I've seen it. This group was selected especially for their attitude. Though, bad grows have probably turned better relationships to mulch.

Much of the reason for this thread is to NOT get off to a bad start. I mentioned my contribution twice and started this thread because I wondered if I should be asking for more of a contribution from the other partners. It's my paperwork making it legal, I'm including tens of thousands of dollars in plants and will be working every day on them until they are harvested.

Wondering if the table is a little heavy on my side....

Should I feel satisfied with simply having the arrangement?

"tens of thousands of dollars in plants" Worth that much to who? To you, to be sure, but could you sell them for that price?
p.s.- this plan seems doomed from the start, my two cents worth.

Tens of thousands in plants? You need to be going solo,I don't know anyone spending that much on plants, damn! i'd drive shit to you for bread like that, who's spending that in 2014? damn!

It's this simple...

Split it 100% evenly - so all parties get the EXACT SAME - regardless the specific contribution.

Without each others cooperation, it seems none of you have the tools to carry it solo - so that means each and every cog in the equation is just as important and necessary as the other...

Don't start letting greed creep into the mindset that says, but me, I, me, I ....

If you are feeling this way about it now, just imagine how you'll feel when the plants are full of buds and financial gain starts to become a reality.

Better get a grip...

if the landowner does nothing but allow it, he is allotted 20-25% tops. guy with plants and who grows splits the rest with the person putting up cash.

really the person who puts up cash should be putting in work as well….if they just put up cash and invest and then dont show up until after trim scene, then i would adjust their percentage a little lower.

what is the cost of the greenhouse, are we talking a $1000 hooptie, a barebones 5-10k steel frame, or a 40-50k fully kitted out.

A few years ago I was very skint & couldn't afford some Chronic seeds I wanted . Got talking with my foreman on the site who loved a smoke , he gave me the money & said , " Just sort me some bud out if it all comes good " .
I grew them outdoor , he helped me trim all the bud & we went 50/50 , he never expected that but was well happy & I was 2K+ better off . Trust equals reward .
