Final weigh in.

All trimmed and curing up.

18.7 oz of prim nug with just over 2 oz of small buds I couldn't be arsed to trim. No popcorn, my fingers just don't work as well as they used to.

The one thing I don't like about LEDs is that it seams to make a little more leaf than under hps. I don't know why, but my led bud always takes me longer to trim.

But I'm super happy with the result. Especially as the chem d is not really what i would call a cash cropper.

Good result herbs

Sonic once said to me that growing in coco produces more leaf compared to same strain grown in soil

Maybe an organic soil grow under led will give less leaf

Thanks guys. I'm not too sure I agree that coco produces more leaf. Not something I have noticed with my main grows. But perhaps he is correct.

I couldn't tell you about smoke as I no longer smoke' but I do vape!

This is so much better than normal hps chem. Much more fuelly taste. Still has that same throat cooling mentholy effect.

The hit is as hard and sedating as normal but with a little more of a cerebral lift. It's really bloody good.

From now on chem d is only getting grown under led for me.

I'm desperately trying to find out the optimum height in flower for the Mars II lights but so far i'm getting answers varying from 12 inches to 30 inches, is there any chance you can help me @theherbalizor? Thanks loads

Hi... I'll have to see if I have any images anywhere. This is all long since gone.. But really like stones would be a good description.

Yes, very good LEDS indeed. Good yield. Great tastes... Awesome potency. The only reason I'm not using it now is that I have had to move the grow to a mates and the fans on the LED unit are too loud for him.

This is totally strain dependant. For young plants I would have a good 4-5 ft distance. Maybe more... As they grow you can get them lower... Lowest I would go would be about 18 inches... Some plants will take it closer, others need it further. Unfortunatly you are gonna have to suck it and see.

Well,

After lifting the led up a further 6 inches the plants have really started to take off. So much so they are now on day 1 of 12/12.

Plants tied down, not going to scrog these. Just going to tie and snap.

Bit of a dumb question given the age of this thread but do you remember the approx distance your led was after raising the 6 inches?

I'm running vipar led's at the moment, my chem D & Psychosis are happy but GG4 and gooey mother seem less than happy...

Off the top of my head I think around 24 inches.
