light spectrum for clones?

I have a 2700k and a 6400k cfl. My instinct says 6400k day light. But I have read something somewhere that said a the warmer spectrum promotes rooting and the clones yellow less. Any truth in this?

Thanks in advance.

grow lux flouros

grow lux flouros

I root in a dew point cab in a cold room 15c or less because the cab can maintain 18c air temps and 25 c root zone this plus condition of mothers is the key root to shoot ratio temps
but yes red light promotes root zone.
my cabs did have cool white i changed after a year.
There was increase in rooting under growlux with the increased red.A

My info says red for roots and flowers . Blue for stems and leaves .
Flower nutes low dose for the 1st few days after roots form . For P that also encourages roots .

Thanks for sharin

Good to see you are amusing yourself Harry . But this is where the big boys play . The kindergarten is a cpl of URLs further down .

For CFLs and Flouros . Warm white = red . Cool white = blue .

Red spectrum + blue spectrum is better than one alone . For growing and flowering in my Experience . The more Sativa the more blue it likes .

I don`t think alternating daily would help .
Use the red for cloning . Then veg with the blue , flower with the red .

I don`t do fahrenheit . About 20 -25 deg C is ideal . Humidity up about 75 / 80 % . Too hot and dry and your clones will wilt .

Thanks for sharin

I too dislike Fahrenheit. But most the info out there is in F. Its about 26 degrees. but can get as high as 30. I've left the door open today

Honestly for clones light dont matter not very important .... main thing is keeping the rooting medium moist... i had shit root in the dark, undertables bathroom, kitchen under reg lights...... n 80 is fine colder temps like 72-75 takes longer
