I rely on them pretty heavily. When they stopped selling the old model with the cutter under the hood I was pretty bummed. They only sell those stand up ones now. I hate them. But recently I found ones being made by cabellas. The hunting store. They are awesome. They do a double seal. They are way nicer and don't over heat as easy when you use them to do a bunch in a row. They are way more ergonomic and can be operated with one hand. I'll never use my old favorite ones again. I like having two. One for the dirty later and one that never is used on anything but double bagging. That way if I'm trying to minimize smell I don't have to worry about weed dust in all the hard to clean spaces on the one that is used to seal up the first layer. What ever type you choose...…IT MUST HAVE A SEAL BUTTON THAT CAN INTERRUPT THE VACUUM PROCESS BY SEALING BEFORE IT ITS FINISHED SUCKING ALL THE AIR OUT. otherwise you get brick weed or you lose the compression when you stop it. I suck it down and press seal as soon as it starts to take the shape of the herb and press the seal button. That way it's snug enough so that the herb doesn't shake around but loose enough that it's not squeezing hard enough to damage it.

Which one? They have a dozen or more, from $149-$1200.

i dont like those because they dont have the roller and cutter inside but they make nize auxillery units for when the one is heating up switch machines, one trick too is if they get hot and you are doing repetitve work the new bag starts sealing while the suction is happening and it revs up and seals before the air is out . then its time to switch machines even if if its not blinking., having two or more going at once is nice for this reason if you have a big day ahead of you.

you know like if you just got back from a big fishing trip.

the roller and cutter is nice when youre making all your bags. goes way faster with it under the hood on the old f.s., but the cabellas brand makes up for it by doing a double seal in one shot so. if they could combine thoase two concepts it be fucking bomber.

hate hearing they don't make em like that anymore

I have 2 old rivals with the cutter,
it has the independent seal button which is a must have feature.
either that or you have a zip of beautuful nugz that would fill a qt sack the size of a deck of poker cards

saw someone reduce an otherwise beautiful pound of headband into a brick the size of a quart jar on accident.
