When to reveg?

I am planning to reveg my coton candy. I normally harvest when the crystals are halfish amber.

My question is, should I harvest earlier then usual , say 25% amber or less to aid reveg? Or doesn't it matter? Is they a point of no return for reveg?

Thanks in advance.

In all the revegg plants i never seen a point of "dead". just let a bit less than 1/2 on the plant and set them a few days under 24hours light, then 18hours normal and wait :) dont forget to flush ur soil when u reveg on soil

You saved my bacon. I completely forgot I needed to flush. I'm at about 10% amber atm. Got my veg chamber ready. she's at day 49 today. I think ill harvest a tad earlyer then usual.
How long do you suggest i do 24/0 for before I change to 18/6?

I always use just plain water the last 2 weeks before harvest. Would this be a sufficient flush?

Sativa and Sativa hybrids re-veg for me quite easily, Indica plants have never given me any success with re-vegging them. Any plants that I have let go longer for amber trichs usually take a bit longer to switch back to re-veg.
I give a good flush in soil then harvest leaving a fair amount of lower larfy buds on the plant, stick the plant under some CFLs with either 24/0 or 18/6 lighting schedule and BAM 3-4wks later they start throwing out the funky new re-growth, that becomes normal after a few more weeks.
They start out like this, (after about 4wks the funky re-growth starts) Trainwreck X Princess Diesel f2

And end up like this with plenty of cuttings, (about 2mths from starting re-veg)

Here's to success for your re-veg :tiphat:

If i want to reveg i usually try earlier rather than later.....

Some reveg much easier than others.

Some great info thanks guys. I'm just playing the wauting game now. I have no clear trichs so I could cut any time now. I've read that I should cut 2/3 of the root mass before reveg. This seems like alot, is it accurate?

I don't know what is better, but i have had it work with and without trimming roots and i have had it not work with and without trimming roots. :)

I think it has more to do with the strain, and the trimming roots is just practical if you are going to be revegging a plant with a big rootball.

Thankyou. I think I will trim the roots. Put her in a smaller pot. She gonna be a mother. She is rather yellow so I will have to give her some nitrogen. Should I get some straight N or use my veg nutes?

I grow Cotton Candy and I found the more bud you leave on the faster she will reveg.

I try not to repot or root prune until they are def back in veg stage. To many stresses are not good.

Harvest the tops and leave as much lower as you can afford and put straight into 24/0. About 7-10 days you should see shoots growing from the flowers.

Good luck!

Thanks man. This is my second cotton candy. I loved it so much the first time i had to do another. I've only just made a veg chamber so I will be doing clones from her. Now I've got growing her locked down. when would you start the veg nutes?

So i harvested. left all the Small popcorn buds on with leaves. cut slightly more then half the rootmass off. Repotted her. Flushed her with water and some N. (She was very deficient) and shes now sun bathing in my mini fridge under a 125w cfl that at 18/6. I also took 4 late clones that are in the fridge in a propagator. I only need one to survive and reveg successfully. Pics comming soon.

I also rubbed organic honey in to the wounds of harvest. My gran does this with her veg n roses. And i thought why not.

Thanks. What really made the difference. Was putting her under my 150hps for 12 and 6 hrs under my 125w cfl. I put her in my flower chamber at night to save eleccy. The hps really dud the job. I'm gonna repot her soon in some all-mix
