Zamaldelica ID

Hey folks,
Just hoping for a little help identifying my Zamaldelica plants. I stupidly forgot to label my plants before transplanting them. I have two Zamaldelica and two Carolina Blue/Digital Berry plants, and in my opinion they look quite similar. Do Zamaldelica plants sometimes exhibit purple striping on the stems?
The good news is that all four are girls. Looking forward to seeing what they can do outside! I'll try to get a pic of them.

I believe that red stems come from Blueberry lines?

You can smell the difference once flowering is in full.

Then label them. Did you take cuttings?

i have 2 in my delica regs that show purple stripes on stem, no P def. .

Welcome sprout,

are you growing Zamaldelica standard or feminized version ? If you post some pics should be easy to identify them, I'm not familiarized with the other cross you are growing but Zamaldelica is quite different to blueberry hybrids.

Okay, I'm pretty sure #'s 1&2 are the Zamaldelicas. Number 1 has the purple stripes.
Hey Dubi, nice to "meet" you. These are the standard seeds, given as freebies some time ago. This will be my first experience growing a pure sativa, I've grown mostly indi/sat hybrids. I have a perfect spot outside and plan on staking/training them to grow lower to the ground (if possible). Do you recommend topping, or just bending/staking the main stem?

i notice a typical zamal trait in the leave blades, they are pencil formed, not so much like a drop.

Hi rüdiger, are you going from the order of the pics in the post or by the numbers on the pots? I tried to post them in correct order but they posted the opposite. They are from left to right: 4,3,2,1
I think I understand what you mean by "pencil" shaped leaves. Anyway, thanks! I'm looking forward to seeing what happens out there in the garden this year.

I would recommend you to prune them, Zamaldelica reacts very well to prunning, producing a compact bushy structure. Hope you have a great season!

Hi rüdiger,

Pure zamal leaf is very thin with almost no serration. But Zamaldelica is a 3 way cross and her leaves have a more hybrid look, they are not like a pure zamal, pure malawi or pure thai but a different outcome: combination of the 3 strains. Rarely you will find a Zamaldelica with very zamalish kind of leaves, but can we found if you dig enough in the hybrid, indeed the favourite Zamaldelica mum that i keep has them.

Beautiful sprout She is indeed enjoying outdoors in its new place.

Sativas like Zamaldelica have strong branching if you let her grow enough.
