hello people,
I've started this thread because I've been growing a few plants hobby like for a few years now. I've always wanted to run bubblegum as I've only smoked it once and its still my favourite to this day. I've been put off from running it because I dont think I've seen a grower say they have found the bubblegum smell when they have grown it. has anyone any experience with bubblegum and did you get the bubblegum smell? and the plants that didn't get the bubblegum traits,what did they smell and taste of? I did try a bubblegum kush and all 4 seeds hermied from the bulldog seeds.
anyway any info would be great because I really want to run this strain after my skunk#1 has finished but I want to get the right beans.

Bogs bog bubble is the only true bubblegum i know of . nirvana has a bubblegum but its not as good as Bogs .
Bog has been working that BG for years .

yeah I feel a bit foolish for starting this thread now as there is plenty of bubblegum threads already. a lot of people mention bog but ive never seen his seeds in UK seed banks.

My bubblegums ...? I kept up the (N) thru early to mid bud as directed then flushed, well in the last 2 weeks or so, the flavor taste/smell is novel but it ain't a strong THC plant, just that, novel, Oh it can have a tendency to herm for no reason so grow many

I tried it and was not impressed. You won't get bubblegum from it. It would be more popular if you could.

everyone has a different opinions on this bubblegum thing. I might just forget it as I don't want to grow ten seeds to get 5 females and not one of them be the bubblegum pheno. seems a waste as the bud isn't that potent its just a nice taste.

have you heard of bubble berry? try to find a pack of those, it has the same uplifting, euphoria of bubblegum but with i think some blueberry in there.. its by sagarmarta and its ranked #1 out of the plants I've smoked next to blue dot, hash plant, and train wreck. if you can't find bubble berry i thinks agarmartha has packs of double bubble berry.

anything distro'd by sagarmartha is top shelf

spent some time growing a few different bg's not too long ago so just what I noticed.
ran a bushy indi dom version was more the tropical fruit/juicy fruit gum smell n flavour, a cut from indi with the pink gum smell n flavour, n a little more recently another juicy fruit flavoured cut that's supposed to be high in cbd that's been going around for a while now.
from what I've gathered the fruity juicy fruit flavoured version is a lot heavier in terps/flavour n smell.
The pink gum smell to me just seemed to be a watered down terp profile but pretty much the same just a lot less of it all comes through.

Ran the cbd cut, n gave it away along with a number of cuts to a few ppl I help out with meds, as it's just not my thing n was more to help a couple friends out with sourcing the cbd.
The other 2 both had some nice bushy indy type growth but in the end both versions were just too sat dom for me n my needs.
I will say compared side by side I found the fruity juicy fruit flavoured version to be a little better all round myself.
pink gum was a little more like a piece of pink bazooka joe gum in smell but like I said b4 in comparison it really seemed to just be a watered down version of pretty much the same profile leaving it smelling like the pink gum.
I'd personally go for the juicy fruit version myself if I had to choose, but I moved on with the sat dom effect not cutting it for me from either of them.

see I can't take clones,I've got a retardation when it comes yo getting them to root. I spent money on 3 different lots of equipment and tried a few times and only got 1 to root... I know stoopid gav. I would love to be able to buy cuts but here in the UK its illegal and very hard to find them. if you do find them for sale its always either a cheese cut or lemon skunk. its all the commercial growers seem to run. even if you buy clones there's no guarantee they are what you have been told. its seeds for me so I'm looking for the best chance of that sweet taste in an indica heavy plant,sativa buzz turns to paranoia for me and I don't like that. I smoke to help with sleep and indica helps my partners fybromyalgia.I've been looking at thseeds as I here they have the indica Dom plant but there's mixed reviews on them. I'm in a pickle on this subject, I think I might just bite the bullet after a bit more research and pick a strain and run it over Christmas.

I'm on a similar mission and after quite a bit of research i've landed on either getting Old Time Indiana Bubblegum from Mosca Seeds or Bazooka JoeG from Archive Seeds. I've seen some spectacular looking results from both of these on various forums. Some of the older versions from bigger companies like Serious Seeds and THSeeds seem to have gotten worse over the years according to what i've read.


Bazooka JoeG (Indiana Bubblegum x Face Off OG bx1):
"Our original Indiana Bubblegum clone traces her roots directly back to some cross country pioneers that moved from Indiana in the 1990's to grow their legendary strain in beautiful Humboldt county. She fared her journey quite well, produced inside and out without a problem, and garnered quite the local reputation as being the best sweet dank herb you could find. Just like her name suggests, her smell is full on bubblegum cotton candy sweetness with a tantalizing dank background. goodluck with your quest as well lol. old time Indiana sounds good its just the sativa bit I don't like the sound of. I reckon its gonna be thseeds. I know a lot say negative things about it but I've gotta at least try. this bubblegum thing has bugged me for years. I always plan on it being my next project,then I read a negative grow report and buy something else.

sorry forgot to mention the juicy fruit version I had grown was grown out from serious seed stock from a good few years back.
Would prob go with the thseeds version myself nowadays but had those at the time.
Think both are the more fruity version though.

Used to get bubblegum, smelled like bubblegum, had a bubblegum taste, id say almost dom taste of bubblegum. Above avg potency. Was back in 1998ish... was from small town ontario. Homegrown.

its funny because I've only smoked it the once and that was 98 or 99 also. been a long time but out of all the different types and tastes I've smoked since I still rate THAT bubblegum was the best. no idea what breeder it came from or anything.

Serious Seeds still has the old school bubblegum IBL that they had back in the 90s. If you want the old school representation of it, go with Serious. No skunk crossings in there... Just pure inbred bubblegum.

Best bet would be bog ... ive seen bubble gum phenos in both bog bubble n bogglegum.... bogglegum being my fav... also very fast 56-60 days till done.... still not original ibgclone i loved for yrs but good... i like that ibgxfaceoff cross sure sounds like u can find a winner there... i just remembered i got some ibgxfireog beans i should get to

I still have like 8 seeds left from a pack of serious seed ,grew like 4 and all where female .
It's some good smoke a good all around high. Mine are from 2010 my last plant was in the jars and the police took it and more then likely smoked it.the under cover was mole sting my
