I just gotta laugh, this shit makes my day. Why would any of us care how someone else grows. I assume if you are an actual grower in this thread you gotta have some little bit of outlaw in you, some amount of total free thinking...and yet you can get pissed about something anyone else posts

I say thank god we don't all agree. Thread would have been two posts long...hey tom, how you do this...and we would all be in 1.5 yard pots with chicken shit...still a fantastic way to grow no doubt. But who the fuck wants to copy exactly anyone else.

Anyways...boobs, big love brother and great looking grow. Hope it does not offend you too bad I choose to do something slightly different  For real, I hope that grow works out fantastic for you.

Pretty much everyone else...no offense but I really don't give one fuck if you like how i grow or not. And you should feel the same about me. But...we should be able to share a thread...don't ya think.

i pay people to teach me to copy them.

yea, it's like not a single salesman has ever taken http://www.karrass.com/

seriously, guys who nail down subjects never teach classes, to millions world wide

only a fool doesn't think they could learn more,

and I'm confirming your post, not arguing against it

the day you stop learning, you best be retired, cause the game just passed your ass on the bench

keep your nose in a book, it's like eating 2 apples a day for the brain

not trying to be rude.. but anyone can take pics.. find the best picture of a plant.. and say.. ya this product DID THIS! big deal.. i learned the hard way.. expensive nutes.. are a rip off.. they do no better then cheap nutes.. but organic vs chem.. deff shows different results for me.. i did half a room organic half chem.. and the same strain looked smelled and tasted different then eachother.. KISS... simple simple simple.

Backyard and Pono - I like both of you and both of your grows, and wish you could find a common ground. What binds us together is far stronger than the small details which keep us apart. Pono I hear you about expensive products, but I also believe there is room for improvement in organic systems through specialized products. I'm much more likely to pay attention when those products are marketed to organic farmers instead of pot growers, although there are snake oil salesmen in all industries.

Hello everyone. I've been reading this for three years, long time lurker. I hate arguments but I love all the information in this thread. I don't like this thread being taken up by fertilizer claims either. I first complained about the all the AEA talk a month ago with boobs. To me this thread is about learning to grow monsters without the expensive fertilizers and liquid nutes. This thread taught me how to feed the soil. I went from spending thousands on these products a year, to about $100. There is about 10,000 indoor grow threads just full of information on the latest organic and inorganic nutes. I think AEA is a great company with great products Im just tired of hearing about them.

I digress, I feel that this thread has gotten off track. Everyday I am going to put up a topic involving soil care, watering methods, tea brewing, plant support etc. I want to keep this thread going forever.

My first question I want to put out there is about weighing your branches down with water. I know Tomhill uses this method, he talks about how it strengthens the branches (like doing pushups). When I finish watering my lower branches almost touch the ground, less than 5 minutes later they have lifted up again. I always do it earlier in the day so that they have plenty of time to dry before night. Does this method work for anyone else out there??

This track is for every one who thinks this thread has been taken off track or that some one is trying to sell you something or that there is any type of Serpent in the Lions camp

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SJsg-ua-Ig

So this thread has gotten off track because now the people that have been posting in it since the beginning are using AEA products on their grow and sharing the results??? Nice

You guys realize that it's $100 for 5 gallons on average and the average application rate is 2 quarts per ACRE??? An acre is about 43,000 SQ FT ...Just so you know..

No one is telling you to buy the stuff you don't have to if you don't want to. i did and I'm using it and sharing the results.

A few people who post in this thread are using the stuff on their grow , and I Know they're having results similar to mine....

SO yes... You will be hearing about it all season from multiple people. If you don't want to try the products don't..But don't act like people sharing their results about growing big plants out doors is taking the thread off topic, just because they mention some Eco Agriculture products...

MCGRUFF , If you really wanted to feed your soil you'd look in to some Tainio BIOGENESIS and MYCOGENESIS ...Also if you read back , You'll see my opinion on spraying your plants with a hose. Every topic you want to bring up has been covered at length in the 600 pages of this thread...Best of luck this season.

When I said foliar I was being a bit misleading I guess because the delivery was through a 1.5" Honda gas pump and fire hose.?with the throttle turned down all the way....10 gallons was applied to each plant , drenching the root balls nicely. At this same time great care was taken to also completely spray the foliage.

You may gasp at the thought..."this guy blasts his plants with a 1.5" fire hose?" Yes..I do.

It is great preparation for what's to come...heavy bud weight and maybe even the addition of even more weight on the boughs from rain. When my plants are young in the greenhouse I will spray them with the watering wand full force , too...

Grow nerd check out wooden tree posts cheaper than tposts and u can find them all over. The work great for fencing just look out for rocks.
i spent some the on the aea website and youtube reading watching and learning. To me they seem to be excited to teach people how to improve the crop to its full potential and teach how to do it. They have a lot of science behind what theyre doing.
BF and the likes brought it to the thread and are showing us how to use it in our situations , just as tom has down with the countless peaceful valley products.

So Backyard Farmer I guess you're one of "people who have contributed since the beginning are now working with AEA" that you mentioned earlier. So you're one of the paid shills that's working for the fertilizer companies. No matter what all the other people on this site say, you're going to hawk their snake oil. Just start a new thread and all of you AEA people can hold hands and talk about the amazing benefits of your product. There is more to growing plants than dumping fertilizer on them.

How about this? Tomorrow being June 1st, anyone who wants to should post a pic of your largest start. I will. Peace.

Lets do it!! Pics taken may 28th, plants were plugged in may 18-19. Been outside in the greenhouse since April 15th, got an early start this year. We put a fucking TON of work into the property this year, totally re-did the entire hillside. Said good bye to the smart pots and laid in 8 terraces with mounds of EWSF norcal blend, about 3 yards a pop. Also installed a new Irritrol "total control" automatic irrigation system, will have more details about that later.

the taller ones are about 5-6ft or so, the bushy ones about 4ft but much fatter. i dont really want to let things get too bushy this year, gonna let them reach for the sky and train the sides so they dont overcrowd the terraces.

Hi McGruff ,

AEA has no investment in my farm other than providing trial materials for their upcoming Biological Advantage program; in return they were provided with pictures of plants and roots and meters showing readings pre and post application.

I also provided my notes on the various application ratios I tried and my experiences when using the product in ways AEA hadn't recommended.

There's no snake oil in AEA's products. You can try them to find out for yourself, or not. It makes no difference to me what some one else does on their farm...

What I can't believe is that people would attack another grower for sharing their experience.

Stank J.P.

How about before June 1 ?

Here is just one of the patches at the farm..It's been in the ground since around Mother's Day ... it didn't get written down. The plants went out side May 1st-ish from clones taken in mid April. I don't like having overly large plants too early. The stakes are 6' ... Like Milkyjoe said: The plants got kind of big on accident ...

The space is about 1800 sq ft , each mound is about 3 yards now , and the ground they grow in to is promoss , compost , lava rock from 3 seasons ago.

Yes4Prop215 - Big up yourself ! You are on the way. Hope you have PLENTY of room to dry in!
