Bluelab Truncheon for EC and Bluelab PH Pen for PH
ye blue lab truncheon EC meter is the best one i have tried so far, i didnt use the blue lab ph meter but if its any like EC meter then ill be purchasing it next time i need a new one,

the ph meter is showing very precise numbers as long as you calibrate it like once in a month. I test the precision every week using a ph liquid of 7.
i think there is a combo meter but i only have the EC truncheon. i was sick of going through meters but blue lab seems great so far
I have had the Milwaukee MW-802 combo meter for about 1.5 years until the ph side of the probe shit the bed. I got the unit for $150...
I have to get a new probe for $75
I purchased a cheapo meter from the local grow store to get me by.....not looking forward to spending more on this thing.
I could always get a blue lab and be done with it.
I guess a year and half is good?
I have a feeling because of the nature of these things...if you get more than a year out of them they paid for themselves.
That being said...I cannot recommend Milwaukee. go Bluelab.

If I was buying today that bluelab is what I would get.
I have a bluelab truncheon that is 11 years old. Never changed the battery or done anything to it except wash it off according to instructions, bulletproof. For ph I have a Hanna HI98127 that has also been bulletproof for 7 years, calibrate once a month.
I was wondering if you guys have a rough scale on what, or how strong you are feeding with the nutrients-ppM's? For different stages of the plant's life?
In veg I should be feeding _______ ppM's, eC?

Good choice. What are you doing for ph?
I haven't actually pH'd in quite a bit, used to do it every time... I was just adding whatever amount of pH up, or down I would have to use when I was checking it with my meter and I figured it was in the neighborhood. I have a Nutradip Trimeter that I should get out and calibrate. Thanks
knowing ph is more important in coco than ec/ppm. You can figure out ec pretty close by reading the nute tables or posts on here or from the manufacturers site but ph needs to be tested. If nothing else buy them cheap ph drops/test kit.
ye i agree with stoned40years, your ph meter calibrated is the most important took that you have growing in coco or any other hydro way
It only works that way to a certain extent. Post your nute line and then people will discuss ec levels. Some people feed the same ec level the entire grow, like MB users etc. Depends on brand of nutes a lot.
Never heard of sitting a probe in solution for longer than it takes to calibrate which is a minute more of less. Is that what your directions say?
The trimeter measures ec/ppm also I see.
