Hey MM, Big Mexican Momma's resin reminds me of orange oil when peeling an orange

Any ideas where that comes from?

Looking both up, neither has a citrus smell

Not that I'm complaining, just curious where it comes from

Maybe someone else can answer this

PetFlora,

I'm new when it comes too growing. I too am growing Silver Skunk BX1. How are they turning out for you? My BX1 is growing amazing and the aroma is great! Do you like using led's over other methods? I have been thinking of investing in some. Right now I have a 4-bulb T5 setup with 6000k veg/4000k bloom bulbs. The plants seem to love them but I hear Led's pack a punch for the size. Your thread is great I'll be watching how this turns out.

Thanks

I have been using 8 bulb hot5 for 2+ years. Done a lot of different bulb mixing

5000K is basically sun at high noon, so if using 6000+, then only 1/4.

Once pistils form, replace 1-3 @ 4000K with ~ 3000K for fatter buds

I prefer leds as it costs me > $200 a year to retube hot5s

N
ot all- most leds are garbage, with poor quality assembly, parts, + spectrums not developed for mj

The one I am using now is working amazingly well

USA company + quality Osram 3w diodes + quality parts

so i went into a hydro room last night, flipping it this weekend, and to be honest on the stock rub i can see you guys seeing a bit if sweet citrus. i like how eveyone catches something different. but, i assure you guys, once the buds are jarred and cured, they will be straight blueberry cheescake! as all the people that came to chamos expo!

Just thought i would mention that during flowering stage runoff pH increases.

I see it rise greater than 1 full point every 24 hours

So each morning i check ppms, adjust as needed, then adjust pH

Petflora thanks for the info. My T5's veg bulbs are 8000k and the bloom bulbs are 3000k. I just switched over two of the 8000k with the 3000k so they 50/50 in my 4 bulb setup. Should I switch all 4 to the 3000k my plants are in there second week of flowering and the pistils are just starting to grow longer?
Thanks for the info on the LED's.

Med-Man that's awesome. Blueberry would be a pleasure, I'm really looking forward to see the turn out. I'll keep ya posted on the results.

NYUF, there is no yes or no answer

It depends on how much blue spectrum your 3000s have- they are all different

In flower mj only needs ~ 8% blue

I would lean toward all 3000s, unless you can find a single bulb @ ~ 4000, or get a couple ZooMed Flurosuns

If not, then buy a cheap 2 bulb vanity fixture from Lowes/HD and get a couple Cree LED Daylight bulbs + all 3000K t5s

I've never had such bad success cloning

Don't know why but these SSs don't like me cloning them

Just trimmed soggy stems for the 3rd time
