First grow/ first post- veg time opinions

So here's my setup:

3x3x6.5 tent
400w mh veg- 600w HPS for flower
4 three gallon pots, each containing a beautiful Purple Kush lady that are all 4 weeks old today.

So the question I have is: how long should I veg under the 400w before I switch to 600w for flowering? I don't want to risk any root constraints in the flowering phase by letting them go too long in veg. This is my first grow so help and info is much appreciated.

Here's a recent photo, the one at the front left seems to be a little gimpy, it's growing three leaf sets instead of two.

what size pots? Figure they will double in height I would let em go till their 2 ft if you got 6.5 ft
It's takes a while to get root bound you can pot up a few days before u put em I to flower

Would 3 gallon pots not be sufficient enough for the entire cycle? Or is there even enough room in a 3x3 to justify repotting to something larger for 4 plants? I'm also concerned that the growth will be even more dramatic going from 400-600 when flipped.

I,d leave em for another 4 weeks at least, those pots are big enough, growth seems a little slow, did you plant the seeds in those pots ?

No I planted in solo cups, I moved them over to these pots about 2 weeks ago when the roots started to circle the cup a little. The root development was quite impressive.

I'm feeding them something called Monty's, it's something that I've used in the past on my veggie gardens, and has always done wonders for my tomato plants. They have seperate formulas for veg and flower, so I just figured I'd give it a go and see where it went. Giving them 1/4-1/2 diluted

Also, do you think it would be more benificial to continue using the 400mh for the rest of veg or switch to the 600hps and continue the 18/6 light cycle theyre on now? I understand the importance of the light spectrum, but would the spectrum take a backseat to lumens in this situation, considering it would be almost double the amount of light?

So what am I seeing on the plant? Not to mention theyre reeking already (deliciously reeking!) as soon as I open the tent up.

Put your 600 in about a week before flip to 12/12 to let them get used to it, raise it up a little at first, goodluck.

The crystals on the stem are a natural bug defense same as the crystals on the underside of the leaves. Thc is produced in the flowers so no measurable amount of Thc till flower.switch to hps atleast a week before flipping em. Start high and lower it to the sweet spot where you get good coverage without burning them
