Hello all, so Ive decided to start my season a little early this year and have a few dozens of SSH and blackberry strain outdoor for about 4 weeks now (planted outside beginning of may when it hits 14 hr daylight). They were put outside in soil at a foot tall, now they're about 2-3 ft tall and most them are budding for a week now and I'm panicking! This is only my second grow. My spot is off grid so I have no way of giving them more light. I'm in nor cal Amador county. The daylight right now is at 14 hr 34min. What should I do? Will they revert back to vegging if left alone? Please any suggestions? Here are some pics..

Hello:

I think that you should take away the flowers and the plants will reveg as the days will keep being longer till Summer solstice

I guess the plants were indoors 18/6 may be????and the change of photoperiod has triggered flowering....

Good luck

Hey lys916,

The plants will start to re-veg shortly will the days becoming longer,
You will also see some crazy/freaky growth once they start

Good luck with your grow

Start over.
You just lost about 2 months of your growing season while the plants try and revegg with freakish growth.
Never put plants out till June 1st, at the earliest, unless there from seed.
Any plant thats over a month old will flower if put out any earlier.
If you start over and plant your seeds now....you will have a much nicer harvest in Oct. than if you let them revegg.
If you do use these plants still, then you lost about 1/2 your overall yield.

I would get another batch ready. You have lost valuable time. This will hurt your harvest yield big time.

Wow this sounds worse than I thought. I will get another batch going in gallon pots and wait for couple of weeks and see what happens before killing them. This really suck after putting all those time and energy caring for them now most likely gonna have to kill it.

yes they were indoor under the light most of the time in the month of april.. and were taken outside at 1/1.5 ft tall beginning of may. It was vegging great for about 2-3 when brought outside then all of the sudden flowers start popping up. Some are worse than others.

I wouldn't kill them. I would start more seeds or get more clones just in case.. but in my experience a plant that starts to flower early then re - veg and flowering again as it normally would. These plants come on harder for some reason. I've heard a couple old timers refer to it as " bottle rocketing". I've never purposely done it, only had a few plants go off early and then as the days got longer then went back into veg. I did notice a difference in the end.

Finish those ones light depo with garbage can on each one at 6 pm everyday and start your full seasons now. Get an early harvest why not. Amador county allows 24 so wouldn't be worried if i were u. Get on craigslist buy some new teens for like 20 bux a piece.
