The food pics were actually from BadKittieSmiles. They do look delicious, though. Now I have the munchies again.

I just posted my semi-boring pic with the 6 bottles of tincture. One advantage of the strong tincture batches is how easy they are to cook with. Add 3 or 4 drops to whatever you're cooking, and it gets you high without changing the taste.

If you're making cannacoconutbutter, don't throw the buds and trim away after the first batch. The first batch is the strongest, but you can still get some decent butter or oil from a second extraction. Or you can freeze and save it for future use in making spiced bhang or other flavor of canna-milk.

I've been experimenting with stronger batches of tincture lately. Depending on the bottle here, 1 or 2 drops is enough for me to feel it. 3 to 5 drops is enough to get decently high. 1 drop of the C99 tincture is actually too much for a low tolerance friend of mine.

To make a batch (2 bottles), start with one ounce of high quality dried and cured trim. Do a quick 20 second wash with 99+% isopropanol, strain and filter, and evaporate the iso to get the golden colored oil. Purge by dissolving in Everclear 190 and evaporating. I do this 3 times per batch, although I don't know if that's really needed. After purging, dissolve in 50 mL Everclear 190, filter again, and you're done. The result is a beautiful golden colored tincture.

I do a second extraction on the same trim, this time with room temperature iso for 24 hours. Repeat the same process as with the first extraction, and you get a darker colored tincture that's still very strong. I haven't done enough experimenting yet to notice a difference in effects between the tincture from the first wash vs. the second.

The trim still has some good stuff left after both extractions. Simmer a few grams in a cup of whole milk for 15 minutes, strain, and add cocoa powder and sweetener (or chocolate syrup) for a nice relaxing beverage.

The colors I got here are interesting. I grew C99 and Swiss Cheese last fall at the same time. They both got the same organic soil mix (peat, coco, perlite, worm castings, blood meal, bone meal, lime). The Swiss Cheese used up the nutes faster, so the trim was mostly yellow by harvest time. The C99 still had some green trim. The second iso wash with the C99 trim came out a lot greener than the Swiss Cheese.

just some advice on butter making.

dont use butter, use coconut oil. it is more solid at room temp than butter and has a outstanding good fat content, and best of all it is mostly comprised of "MCT's", or medium chain triglycerides, which are instantly metabolized and turned to energy, not stored as fat, and break the blood brain barrier in like a 3rd of the time regular dairy butter does, and such.

i like to simmer the coconut oil/weed/water mixture for 12 hours, then after straining and such, here comes the secret ingrediant, lol, get some soy lechitin, add a tablespoon to 8 oz of butter/oil and what that does is it helps you body more easily metabolize fats.

so with the coconut oil breaking blood brain barrier in record time, and the soy lechetin adding some efficiancy to the whole intestinally absorded thc deal.

the speed of eddibles made proper potency, have been known to take ones breath away.

also when you cook bake , you can usually double the butter in most cookies without much loss of leavening.

wallmart has this stuff called "PB2" its powdered peanut butter with 85% less fat, you mix it with water to make healthy peanut butter, but i found the addition of the peanut butter powder in recipes where doubled fat/butter/oil makes them too runny, the powdered peanut butter makes th

Those are 50 milliliter bottles. You can make this kind of tincture whatever concentration you want. I just take the oil from a batch and add the right amount of Everclear to fill one or two bottles.

I've been making batches this way for the last couple years. It works this way with BHO too. Over the last year I've been making batches of BHO for the hash vape and doing a second and third extraction with isopropanol to get oil for tinctures.

Once you get locked into a serious tincture collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

The small bottles are some of the batches I've made over the last couple years. The big jars in the back are old school green dragon from years ago.

Capsules definitely work. :) They're good for when you want a big batch that's all the same potency.

Tinctures are better for getting the right dose. Just count the drops. I have some that get me wrecked with 10 drops. Some of my low tolerance friends only need one or two drops. My capsules are way too strong for some people, but tinctures can be adjusted to whatever potency you want. If one drop is too strong, just add more everclear to make it less concentrated.
