why paint the chains gold? i like the others ,but not sure on chain man?

It just highlights how ironic it is that some black people (rappers etc.) love lots of chains, as long as they are gold.

A lot of people have pointed out that what all this supposed freedom of abolishing slavery in the US actually did was little more than trade the iron chains binding slaves for chains that are now made from gold. They just changed the appearance a little and the horrors of slavery still exist but just changed appearances a little.

I think Kanyes head is bigger, both figuratively and literally. :)

He has an oversized head compared to the rest of his body. Donkey Kong mode.

why do they keep going on about the slavery thing?
i never put anybody on a slave boat ,and all the people that did are dead!

Gold chains traded for iron ones, yeah, you really think it's that simple?

Reminds me of a friend of mine whose great-grandfather was lynched by
a bunch of knuckleheads. He wears gold, and has lots of other stuff too.

Nice pics, kudos to the artist.

Thanks for the post.

Seriously? You don't know why "they" would hold a grudge?

No one involved in the slave trade is alive today. Every former slave and former slave owner died before any of us were born. I take responsibility for my own actions, not things other people did before I was born. I think that's what he meant.

First of all, I hardly ever hear a black person bring up slavery. Second, just because slavery ended and all the slavery owners are dead, doesn't mean racial prejudice ended. Not even talking on a personal level, on an institutional level- separate schools, restrooms, water fountains.

Putting aside the idea that maybe black people should stop acting butt hurt about slavery, what about the simple fact that 400 years of slavery in AMERIKKKA, set their race back about 400 years?

But anyway, m314, thanks for telling me what "he" meant about "them".

Not only that, Jelly. Why's this dude all defensive? The picture is a comment on black people, not the enslavers. Nobody ever tells the Jewish community to stop complaining about the holocaust but GOD forbid a black person mentions slavery.
