Seedling Stem Snaps

If the stem of (about one week old) seedling snaps but is still attached by some fiber will repair itself, or make new roots normally if the whole stem is planted underground? If it keeps growing properly will it likely turn into a hermie or have any other complications?

if you can stand it up again and support it so the broken part is back together, then they will normally survive and heal.

It was sunny and I put some seedlings outside. Then I went to take a shit and when I was done there was a thunderstorm abusing the little babies.

Most are looking ok with their support now. One of them got a bit harder beating and wouldn't really stay up even supported so I transplanted her with the whole stem buried.

yep I had the same thing happen to me last week. I just reburied it in a bigger pot and it has continued to grow,no problems at all.

johnny...aluminum foil...great for lil breaks.. fold a lil piece into a square and fold it in half...lay the stem in it...and crimp it a lil in a week or so take off the foil...i won't degrade the strain at all...it'll bet a lil knot where it repairs itself...i have had em hanging on by one lil thread and this wirked great...DJXX

If a snap has happened if you give the seedling a little support they survive 99% of the time,

It's happened to me the otherday with some starbud sister seeds the snapped one is now the strongest looking !

Thanks
