150 watt Vertical Cabinet

Sorry it's been a while since I've updated but thanks for the kind words.

Time to chop is coming up soon. Officially will hit 8 weeks on monday but the trichs are about 30-40% amber so I could take them down about any time. Might not get to it this weekend but at least early next week.

The cabinet filled out pretty good. It seems less dense than the 250 watt run but then I defoliated a bit more this time so that's a factor. The major colas seem about the same size as I was getting with a 250 but the secondary buds are a bit smaller. Overall I'm guessing a little lower yield with the 150 but maybe not so much. That was my original thought when I downsized the wattage and I guess we will see in a couple weeks when they dry.

TG love your cabinet rebuild. Nice clean and professional looking as always. I really like the way that you have figured out how to be able to remove the plants from the cabinet and trim the plants.
One of the hardest parts of a cabinet grow is having to work on the girls while they remain in the cabinet. sitting/kneeling on the floor while leaning in without straining ones back.

My last cabinet grow I had left my in the middle position and trained the buds to grow around the light kind of like a vertical grow but with the light in the horizontal position.

Thanks Hush, it's similar to your vert cfl setup, eh?

gdbud, good to hear from you. Remodels happen sometimes when you see what others are doing and I've certainly learned alot that way. The modular scrog idea turned vertical and the new blumat hose and fittings are all things I've picked up around here and used to improve my setup. I like to tinker but I think I've finally got this box simple and easy so maybe I can not mess with it for a while, lol. I also really like how the panasonic 2 speed fan is working using a cooling stat for a switch. Feeling confident that I won't be overheating this summer.

I like the idea of the thermostat to control the exhaust fan, but with my cabinet running about 5 degrees above ambient it would just be cycling on and off during the light cycle.

Did you get the auto shut off disconnects for the blumats locally?
Is that red irrigation lines made of silicone or a softer materiel than comes with the kit?

The ladies are cut, trimmed and hanging. I compared the photos to the ones I took of the last run and can tell the yield is definitely less than with the 250 watter but I guess that's to be expected.

The screens filled out pretty good with 3 main branches off each plant

Trich production looks consistent with what this strain has always done for me.

Hanging out to dry and waiting to see what the final tally will be. 1 g/w would be nice but I'll be happy with anything over 100g for this run. From what I see I think I should be in that range.

looks like some nice buds there for such a small light. With a little more work there is no reason why you can not get one gram per watt.

It's dried and in the jars so to close out the thread I will post the yield. It came out to 56.6 g of decent bud and 18.8 g of popcorn for a total of 75.4 g. I did over dry a bit - 55% humidity going into the jars so that cuts a few g's but overall the performance of the 150 is not what I had hoped. The dried buds are also less dense when compared to those in the 250 jar.

I could probably improve the performance with better pruning and installing that light mover I built but I'm thinking I will go back to the 250 watter next run. I can deal with the heat and that might work real nice with the vertical light mover.
