Plant magic and guanokalong gets my vote. Plagron batmix was alright. Canna terra is supposedly very good aswell my mate who owns a hydro shop swears by it.

Plagron light mix is good for starting then repot into plagron all mix I would recommend adding extra perlite to whatever you choose soils are shit for drainage

Plant Magic is excellent if you can afford it , if your short on cash B&Q Verve is ok as well and you get 125 l for 6 quid .

I am having great results with this Canna 50L Terra Professional Soil Mix Bag.

Best price I found is: hXXp://www.amazon.co.uk/Canna-50L-Terra-Professional-Soil/dp/B008MJXGOS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1400322114&sr=8-1&keywords=canna

Comes in stealth boxes as well :)

I found plant magic soil had the most severe shrinkage problem I've ever seen in a soil when it was allowed to dry out a little.

This has turned out to be the best commercial compost I have used in years , very high peat content , clean to handle and inexpensive.

Have added 15 litres of perlite and 10 kilos of horticultural sharp sand to each 120 litre compressed bale for a mix that has proved good for canna and everything else.

From Trago in cornwall at £5.40 a pack , a very good shop for gardening requisites with good prices and a wide range of composts available.

Im not sure for a professional finish but iv got a cannabis plant outside in 75% peat 25% top soil, with a little sand mixed in. It's doing well. Im a rank amateur though when it comes to cannabis cultivation. I can tell you though that iv grown lots and lots of other stuff very successfully in any high-peat soil. Chillies, thyme, rosemary, sage, lavender, i even have a cox apple tree on super dwarfing rootstock which is in a big pot, with peat mix @ 75%. Its been a few years and iv never had to feed it yet, produces a gorgeous crop of apples, got quite a few this year! Anyways, what im saying is if its good for those plants its probably good for weed, afterall cannabis doesnt know its "special" it just thinks its a regular plant lol
