Ok, so today I'm totally bummed. I went in my grow room to find a major fuck up. The incandescent bulb in the closet was on!!!!! I don't know if it's been on for just one night or two. I went in today and was wondering why my buds haven't gotten much fatter yet, when I looked up and noticed it was on. I don't know how, what, or why....it just was. I hope this doesn't mean hermies and plants that won't finish flowering. Has this ever happened to anyone before? :badday:

Hey S2D don't worry too much bro, during the 12/12 cycle of that trainwreck I just brought down she had 3 MAJOR lighting fuckups. First time the 1k HID stayed on for roughly 5 hours too long. 2nd time the 1k HID stayed on for roughly 12 hours too long (all day) and the 3rd time it stayed on for 8 hours too long.

Each time my dumbass was tinkering around with shit and forgot to plug in the damn timer! Wasn't a problem tho, didn't herm or anything. May have set me back a few days but seriously I doubt it.

Hey and those were the 1k HID, not some dinky incandescent bulb. Seriously man, I would not trip at all. Im sure its stressful to them, but I doubt it will even much matter come harvest time. Might set you back a few days but nothing more than that IMO.

VT & BabyHughie  Thanks for the input guys. I think things are going to move forward pretty good. I know one thing, if it slowed the buds any, it didn't slow down the resin! Man I love how the frost just sneaks up on you.

They are eating like monsters now....just the way I like it, so I've been nailing 'em hard with awesome blossoms to help alleviate that stress and get the buds pumpin! Hopefully that does the trick.

As for my clones. The scum widow haze are doing fabulous...big enough to clone themselves now, but I fried the two skunk clones when I dosed them with the neem. Think I hit em a little hard and probably should have washed them off sooner afterwards to unclog the stamata on the leaves...oops! Oh well, I've got another month or so before I need them so I'm gonna see if they'll pull through. Also having troubles with light leaks in the little buckets they are in. I'm going to probably find some better buckets for them here soon.

OGPurp Thanks for stopping by my thread! I was just sampling some of the scum widow haze buds last night from my buddy that gave me the clones.....and OMG. I've actually had it once or twice before he has brought it over...this stuff is sweet, skunky, hazy. I found out that there are a number of strains in the mix for this plant, and I got him to agree to come on here and post up the actual lineage of the clones for me. So, hopefully he remembers to do that. In the meantime, I remember him saying there is skunk, white widow, bubblelicious, and haze mixed in there somewhere. I'm almost convinced it's going to be good enough to ditch the withered skunk clones and split the two scum widow haze clones I have so I can run four of this plant next time. Can't wait to see it frost up......he said this one is sure to get pretty gooey!

S2D neem killed some of your plants bro? How many tsp per gallon did you use? Shit I straight up drench my plants in veg all the time just cuz, never had one have ill effects from it. Shit I just drenched them 2 weeks into flo

Thats crazy man, sorry to hear that. I bet theyll pull through.

Yeah, I think I mixed it a little heavy in my tiny spray bottle! :yoinks: They are looking very sad, but better than a few days ago, but I'm debating keeping them at all. It will be easier on me to run one strain at a time in the system since it recirculates, and I think I will end up going for just the scum widow haze next run. At this point, the skunk are a novelty to see if I can nurse them back to health. If they do good, I may stick with 2 sk#1 and 2 scum widow haze.....dunno which way to go  but I do know that the scum widow haze is some very special smoke and I have another month to get something ready to go back in the bloom room. :joint:

Hi everyone! Here's a little update. First, let's just say that there are forces that work against us in this world that are beyond our control. One example would be the little pest in my flower room. Whatever it is chews away at the leaves, and I have yet to see ONE sign of them. I'm still very fearful of using anything right now. After stressing them some with the light earlier this week, I just couldn't bring myself to possibly do more damage with neem. Whether it's flavor or whatever, I'm not messin with it. I'm just gonna ride it out and go for a good scrub down before putting new clones in. '

Another example would be the little someone who decided to pick up the scissors and help with trimming fan leaves. So, when momma was trimmin and turned her back we lost a few main colas!!! :yoinks: I guess it's just life's way of shakin' it's ass in my face! :moon: The poor little skunk being in front received the most choppin, too! Now it's gotta fight even harder to put out any yield...We also lost one or two colas off the scum widow haze plant in the front, but they will survive. It's the loss of the big trunks that bothers me....

Oh well.....I'm one of those guys that can't win for losing!

Alright. So we're at day 30 now. It looks like the skunk#1 was slowed down a tad by the light problem, but it's starting to turn it on again. Here are a couple shots of the skunk#1.

Here you can see the little girlie in the front that got weed whacked and her big sister behind her.

Here we have a couple budshots of the skunk#1, and the resin production seems to be in full swing.

And, last but not least, a close up on the scum widow haze. I REALLY like the way this one is growing. It's smell is heavenly sweet and hazey and it's getting more pungent day by day. This will most likely be a keeper for me.

And, just for kicks, here is a top shot of the scum widow haze plants.

Hey ya Stoned2Death,

nice to see that things are going well on the whole lol.....appart from the little acident with the sizors that is, hehe.

i too am surprised to hear that neem could cause problems for a plant. i'm wondering if you had the lights on while spraying by any chance?

i look forward to hearing about the linage of the scum widow haze. that's an interesting cross and i bet you'll be very happy with the results.

keep up the good job and peace out

can you get a better pic of the problem stems and leaves? The stem i thought you were talking about just looked like it had root bumps on it from being in contact with moisture.

quantumfusion  Thanks for stopping by my thread. Gotta love a good pair of britches, lol!

The_Dopest  Hola mang! Yes, not bad for 30 days...probably would be a little better if it weren't for constant stress, lol!

Gaiusmarius  Hey man! You know, I've been thinking about that, and the lights were on, but they're just a couple cfl. When I did it, I mixed it a little strong first of all. Then, I picked up each plant, hosed it down real good, and put it back on. I wonder if I might have gotten the roots with the neem....next time I will be sure to measure the proper mixture though. Scum widow haze is driving me nuts. I think it's gonna be real sweet. Actually, since I've smoked the bud a couple times, I already know. Now, I just want to see how she flowers and yields.

Chiefsmokingbud Hey! Glad to see you in my thread. I LOVE your avatar....as long as it's not your old lady, lol! I'm postive those aren't root bumps, it wipes off like a powder. I noticed a leaf or two it got onto it completely wiped em out, they never even grew. I think I've got most of it licked, whatever it was, but I'll try to get some pics tonight if there is still some on the plants. It kind of looks like white powdery crystals if that makes any sense.

Good looking grow there, things look they will work out well for you. I'm interested in this grow because I'll be using two 400W lights pretty soon in a similar space with DWC. Keep up the good work! I'll be watching this one. :lurk:

Hey fiveput! Thanks for peepin' out the show! Whatever you do, try to make sure you use 6" cooltubes to expel the heat better. My 4" pretty well suck...gonna switch em for hurricane glass I think because it should allow more airlfow.

So, for the over-due update....um....the dog at my homework?? :chin: Thought I'd try it anyway.

Things look like they are coming along pretty good. There's no doubt in my mind the light deal slowed em down some, but the resin production has continued, and the buds are finally looking like they'll go somewhere! Only issue at the moment is on the sk#1 plants, the newer bud leaves were curling under like a rams horn, but I can't remember what that means. I did switch out their airstones because they weren't putting out, then I went ahead and gave 'em all fresh water and nutes just in case....screw it, if I gotta change nutes, I gotta change nutes. Anyway, that was a couple days ago, and they're looking happier. Now I'm just waiting for the big explosion to come on...It seemed to affect the sk#1 more than the skwdhz. I wonder if some of it didn't come from all the trimming, and extra trimming some plants got?

Alright....photos! :woohoo:

Couple pics of the whole garden...

The sk#1...note the curly bud leaves...dunno why? Anyone wanna tell me?

The skum widow haze....YUMMY! :yummy:
