Hey guys,

I have a 10k budget give or take 1-2k to set up a 10,000 watt grow room. Can you help me come up with your most ideal shopping list that stays within this budget?

Thanks!

If you don't already know what to buy yourself for a 10kw growroom I suggest you start smaller. Can't be coming online and expecting people to spoonfeed you a shopping list

Post your current shopping list. And goals.. I promise you nobody will give you a perfect shopping list either. No picture of the space, is your electrical setup to handle 10KW load. etc.. etc..

Ten 1000w light or sixteen 600 watt light.
Hydro table, hydro system or pots with soil that match the lighting footprint.
Grow medium: soil, soiless, coco, rockwool, you decide.
Carbon filter exhaust.
Oscillating fan and inline fans.
Dehumidifier.
Airconditioning.
Mylar or panda film for reflection.
Timers.
Fertilizer.
Power strip or extension cords.
String or netting for support.
Scissors
Drying rack or screen.
Scale and baggies.
Green light for entering room during lights out.
And most important a high quality strain.

Spend money on the following:
Build a sealed room and run air-conditioning and co2. Keep it simple and spend money where it counts.

- 5 Ton AC
- Commercial Dehumidifier for lights off. (something like the Sante Fe Classic or similar)
- Co2 Generator (either NG or Propane)(8 burner or something)
- Set Point Co2 Controller (something simple like a analog Blueprint BCC-1 is all you need)
- Can Filter 150 w/ 10" Max Fan (for scrubbing/circulating odor control)

That's really it aside from your lighting and grow method.

Buy cheap 1000w Magnetic Ballasts. Drop bare bulb 1000w hps lamps down in between plants sitting on 5' centers. All you need is ballasts, cordsets, and bulbs. Pay someone to properly give you the required panel to run such amperage required by your lights/AC/dehumidifier.

Throw clones into large pots and do a soil or coco method. Hand-watered or top fed via pump.

Invest your money into environmental control and room construction. Do no spend an arm and a leg on nutrients sold in hydroponic stores or marketed towards this industry. An amended soil mix (feed water only) or synthetic dry fertilizer such as Jacks Professional Hydro (5-12-26) + Calcium Nitrate (15-0-0) is all that is needed.

Doesn't have to be complicated. Put the proper systems in place and the rest will follow.

While it is possible with your budget if you follow my advice (simple barebulb drop in a sealed/controlled environment)... you are cutting it extremely close. Your budget will likely fall short if electrical/hvac installation isnt done by a close friend on a discount. If you are trying to add physical room construction into that figure..well, you simply do not have enough money allocated for this project.

Rough math puts you at around $6-7k for barebones equipment list I offered.. NOT including power panel and air-conditioning. Also NOT including medium, nutes, and other little odds and ends you'll want (thermometer, plant support methods, pH meters, oscillated fans, etc etc.)

My advise is to keep reading, and keep saving.

for a real deal system you are looking at 2-4 bucks a watt

for a total build out, not just equipment

10K is pretty small really, just learn to do electrical work, hopefully by hands on, not books

run your feeding schedule on timers, with a sump pump poly line and spray heads

and make sure to be a boss and run it all through a PLC
