I can't wait to try her out myself. Last time I smoked real Purple Kush here in Oregon was in 1998. And I don't remember much about the the taste or effect except that it was VERY STRONG smoke.
No, I didn't have to amend it at all. I just filled my containers 1/4 full of the super soil. Then I used the Natural and Organic TGA soil for the other 3/4 of soil. It is layered rather than mixed together (super soil on the bottom and regular soil on top). Then at about 1/2 way through flower, I top dress with a bit more super soil.Your welcome, such a nice looking plant deserves a compliment or two!

This was just a trial run with the purple kush (to see if it was legit PK or just one of the hybrids, and also to see if it is worth keeping or not). The plant is only in a 1 gal container, filled with the 2 different TGA soils. I flipped it at somewhere around 8"- 12 ". And it is 24" tall right now. It shares a 4x4 tent with some strains that I am pheno hunting with right now. So all of the plants are in 1 gal containers at the moment (til I figure out what strains I wanna produce full time). The tent is sealed and cooled with a 12,000 btu AC unit. My AC is not located in my tent though. It is in my veg room. And I use a 465 cfm Dayton blower and 6" ducting to draw cold air from the AC into my tent. The 4x4 tent houses: 1000w HPS, adjust-a-wing reflector, 4" can/ filter combo, and a dual propeller fan to circulate air. I am in between grow locations right now. So this is just a make shift garden at my apartment until I find a bigger, more 420 friendly location to grow at. I did a warehouse grow and an outdoor grow last year with some ex patients of mine. But it didn't work out well. They were more interested in weight. And I'm all about quality over weight. So I'm back to growing on my own again.
This is from clone. Sourced in the real world from growers up in the Portland area. It was labeled "Purple Kush" when it was given to me.

She is still growing. The most recent pics are pretty much from the start of week 8 (day 55). I'm gonna let her go a full 10 weeks before taking her down.

How do the trichs look at this point? Could she be an 8 weeker or does she NEED 10 weeks? I suppose its a personal preference but I am just wondering what you think.

Yup. I like pure or nearly pure indicas to be KO stuff. But I kinda wanna see how dark she will get this round too, lol. Had to bust out my tripod to take some macro shots for ya. I'd say right now the trichs are about: 70%-cloudy, 25%-clear, 5%-amber. So yeah, it could probably be taken at 8 weeks. Somewhere between 9 and 10 weeks would probably be the peak harvest time. I can't really put a nose on the smell right now, cuz I have a stuffy nose and a cold. But as soon as I'm able to, I'll describe the kush aroma for you.

I think it kinda looks like the Raspberry kush to me. Is this a cut or from seeds? Looks good either way, enjoy.

That's interesting. My raspberry kush cut looks way different. It's lanky and floppy. But I have yet to flower it. So I don't know if its legit or not. May have to run her sooner than planned to see what's up with it. The PK was from clone. Sourced in Portland (Woodstock area). I would love to see your raspberry kush for comparison.
