Also in a 30g tote how much water do u think I should fill it with. I know to cover the pump but my sprinklers are like 8in above the pump. Do I want lots of water?

sounds more like your gonna be running an aeroponics system in that case the water level should be high enough that your system continues to run when they start to get thirtsy so easily 10-15 gallons...

ive heard, seen, and read of people emptying out the res with plants still in and refilling them with water and nutes and then adjusting ph, if you do that you have to double check the ph after like and hour to see if there is any fluctuation.. i have also read that the plants like the air when being taken out of the res to do a res change, that is what i do. i have to spare buckets that i put the girls in and clean out the res and add the water (i use tap water)and nutes and adjust the ph. the girls sit out of the water for like 40 minutes while i make sure there are no fluctations in ph and they dont seem to mind it. mj plants are very resilient. you can def pump the water into buckets. whatever makes it easy for you really!!

DAmn that sounds like a lot of work lol. I'm hoping the air pump with stone will produce enough oxygen In the tank. Plus with the scrog net how will I move anything. I'm hoping I can just do like 70% water changes and adjust like a fish tank or something. I probably have the wrong idea about that. I'll wash the tank in between grows.

I have a few improvements to make like light proofing the tank . and ceiling any water leaks.

youll be fine. i had to lay my scrog on my plants just for the reason that i like to clean my res every week. just make sure the tank is light proof as not to worry about algae and root rot and pythium. you can use reflectix which could also double as an insulator. also try to stay away from organics unless youll be using the richeyrich tea

check this out! there is almost 14hrs of daylight what a trip looking good though

Yes I have foxfarm big blue. Tiger blume. And the organic one . iv heard organic will clog the sprinklers so I'm not even sure what I'll use. What's do you use?

im using technaflora at the moment bc grow, bc boost, and bc bloom along with fox farms water soluble trio which is open sesame, beastie blooms, and cha ching, and an b52. not only will organic cause clogs but can on set root problems if water temps get to high and that can cause root rot(pythium), aphids, and more horrible stuff.

Also do I balance pH then ad nutes? Will the nutes change the pH?

adjust ph after you add nutes.. nutes tend to change waters ph and most likely youll have to ph down only a little to get to where youd like your ph. my ph is in between 5.5-6.1

Alright thanks for all this info. Its hard scanning around the web for all these specific questions of mine.

Ff trio is $$ .

Iv always heard "a little is more" when it comes to nutes.
How do you manage how many of these nutes are still concentrated in the evaporated water? Is that where the TDs meter comes in to play?

thats one of the reasons i change my res every week. and i just top up with ph balanced water instead of guessing whats left or what they used cause that can be very tricky. tds/ec/ppm all the same thing in essence. there are different conversions for ec to ppm. my ppms are 1250 and at the end of the week they go down to 700. at the end of the week. ff trio was pretty pricey but you wouldnt even come close to using it all in one grow at a 1/4 tsp/per gal it lasts a long time

Yea I know the trio will last awhile. I'll wind up pulling the trigger unless there are alternatives . But the others you have are basicly grow big and tiger blume rite. ?

awesome so ya im pretty sure my oscillating led works with no safety issues its been running 20 hrs the wires are secured and the driver gets warm but its outside my tent.

i orderd 2 more 60w leds red and blue spectrum ill make a 2nd oscillating led soon.

i can get a sound driver for the leds and give them a light show with dark side of the moon or something.

Running testing for leaks and whatnot. Quality control.

The drip tube allows me to test the water without opening the lid. That's pretty cool!

OK quality control is finished I took a cutting off random seed I had lol I wana see if it will root in a couple days haha. purple kush I think.

Damn that 60w led is bright! Possibly brighter than my 192w Apollo cob. Slightly different spectrum though.
My led has 16red & 4blue vs the apollo which has almost the same ratio With a few other shades of red and blue. They all definitely work I look at them with welding goggles to make sure none have burned out.

PH. 5.8
Ppm 440

treated tap water... PH down from 7.4
