Do they have the real Giesel? I saw it offered as an S1 at another site. I would like to get that one if it is legit. Thanks!

Lol. Thanks! I never had (I think) straight chemdog but probably have in a cross. This is my first chemd cross grow. Just not sure what is the double platinum. . One thing for sure it is slightly delicate but still doable for a newb. But I have my environment down to a t. So that can be the major factor because this grow has not been without problems and the plants suffered. But once I got things dialed it took a couple of weeks for plants to recoup and get its bearings.. so let's see how they come out and I should have Internet before they are done. After overgrow, I have not posted any pics online since then. But times have changed since and being in cali I think I should get over my paranoia.. lol.
Yeah, I won't support dudes like that neither..
belive it or not at the last l.a. cup, I went up to DJ short to ask him a few questions on his blue berry. Dude would not even look at me! He was by himself and I was right in front if him and respectfully tried to ask him a question and dude literally gives me cold shoulder. Even his son tried to get him to talk to me and he wouldn't. His son apologized for him. I wanted to buy his seeds!! But now just going to get the Dutch passion version if i do. If I do ever get seeds from dj it would be because of his son. I never talked about this before as I know I will get a lot of hate.. but truth is truth.

yeah, some breeders have their nose in the air.i purchased a pack of Ken's Kush from the tude, and only 2 germinated.i was pissed cause i spent over $100.00 easy!so instead of sending back to attitude i knew GDP collective was in northern Cali so i called their dispensary told them my situation, and let them know that i would rather send to them for a replacement pack.dude was like want to talk to Ken Estes & i said sure he gave me his # we talked for 10-15 min he thanked me for picking his genetics in my garden was straight humble and caring.he sent me 2 packs of beans.i was amazed how understanding he was.got 100% germination rate been talking to Ken every once in a while..my problem with SoCal Seeds is that i bought 4 packs(6beans per pack) and only18 germinated i sent e-mail got a response, bottom line doesn't look like i'm getting a replacement pack.I hope i find a gem,if not ohh well on to the next one!!IF ANYBODY HAS PIC'S OF SO CAL SEED'S please post..I Will post soon.good luck to all be safe happy growing!!

man thats harsh!, i hate being blanked, tbh id have wanted to knock the guy out, for the price he charges for his beans the least he could do was answer a few questions or at least say he was busy and couldnt talk, being blanked is the height of ignorance!

for me these days breeders ethics are as important as the seeds.

get some pics up mate, dont be scared

good to hear!
most breeders are happy to offer replacements for those with genuine issues with their beans, i dont see why folk need to buy from tool when there are many decant breeders out there with all a grower could want if you look.

I got some of his beans at the cup also.
He was nice enough to me at the cup. I got a few different flavors of his, "West la fadeaway=casey jones x chemd, dog town daze=hazexchemd, california dreaming=blue dreamxchemd, and a few others.
I asked him a few questions, about what would be best in a tree grow, was suprised he didnt have any samples, but he said that they always got stolen in previous events...

I popped 3 of his west la fadeaway, and the dog town daze, california dreaming hoping to get a male from the west la fadeaway, and cross it back to the casey jones.
Hoping to get something bulky from the cali dreamn as well.

Hopefully his stuff doesn't go all nanners on me.

Yup. What gets me is how many people praise him and put him on a pedestal like Danny danko. (Danny is cool) and high times. They probably never saw this side of him so can't really go there. Idk what to say other than his rudeness and errogance keeps me away from supporting him but for the sake of his very cool son I will purchase his seeds. I hope he follows dj steps in breeding but keep down to earth. Him I would definitely support. I don't ever want to hurt anyone even if they did me wrong in fact I bless them. And I do wish dj the best and even that he wins a cup. :comfort:
Lol. I am a little sceeered! Lol.. I will. I already gave my word. :tiphat:

my problem with SoCal Seeds is that i bought 4 packs(6beans per pack) and only18 germinated i sent e-mail got a response, bottom line doesn't look like i'm getting a replacement pack.
IMO your expectations are a little high if you're expecting replacement packs for anything less than 100% germination rate. While it's not exceptional or ideal 18 out of 24 (75%) is not horrible

A few shots of vgh og f2s from socal seeds. These are the Tahoe og pheno. Found a few chemD males that I want to make some crosses with. Also ran purple suicide from them but got poor germ rates and a few slow growing low yield plants that were shit.

Well the frost is definitely there on the vgh og thanks for sharing time keeper, I was getting a bit worried that the trichome density would not be up to par on these strains after reading what storm shadow said.

I got some oriental express from him that didnt germ.

75% in my opinion is not a good germ rate.90% would be a good germination rate.8 beans not germinating is not acceptable to me that's a pack +2 beans that means i could have worked with more plant's

24-18 = 6 not 8.

IMO 75% is not low enough to be expecting replacement packs. If you were to pop 1000 beans from various vendors you would be extremely lucky to get 750 to germinate.

*edit: FTR - I am normally extremely vocal concerning the poor customer service that is unfortunately rampant in this industry. This however IMHO is more of a case of slightly unrealistic expectations. 80% is the standard for regulated agricultural seedstock but marijuana isn't regulated and 5% off the mark for an unregulated and in most cases illegal product is not horrible. Certainly not bad enough that I would consider that breeder as having their nose in the air.

When I said nose in the air I was not talking about SoCal seeds I was referring to Mr. 23. How he went up to DJ short and DJ short did not acknowledge him.

Have to add my input after reading the thread.
Grew a pack of west la fadeaway, all bar one plant hermed hard in a room that had happy plants all around it, i sent the breeder a message to let him know, I wasn't complaining and was very well mannered in my approach, pretty well got accused of all sorts and was told I should be happy with the 1 plant I had..terrible service and bad genetics.
