sounds like they are about the same size as ours. will be interesting to see how they do in the 45's, if roots will be able to grow down and take advantage of more space

can't wait to see how them glues do. i'm expecting some good ol' american morbidly obese plants.
check the GG$ thread as a lot of people that had the cuts from the HT Cup are having the same issue brotha. Looks like the sun might be starting to fix your problems. A few people have brought back their week or sick mothers from throwing them outdoor and letting the sun do her magic :)

sun fixed everything... glues are looking great! if we can keep them this healthy until october it should be a fun harvest. They are filling in the 10gal smarties and will go into big pots before june.

i left a few gg4 babies outside a week ago to see if they would flower under the current daylight hours, and so far they havent shown any hairs, so we may not need to use supplemental lighting for the gg4. still though i dont want to risk it.

Hardcore OG starts

Hardcore OG starts

these things are busting out of the #5 smart pots and we dont even have all our dirt yet. hope they arent too rootbound in a week or two when we get the rest of our soil and put them in big pots.

we were thinking 3 of these per 400gal, but they are so vigorous that i think we can get away with single-potting them and get some serious monsters. I dont want them to choke each other out if we put 3 plants in a single pot, on the other hand we need to maximize each pot so i want to really fill them up.

Hardcore OG is not an OG at all it reminds me of 91 chem but more lemony. anybody grown Chem monsters outdoors? possible? or should we triple pot them like we are planning

first big pot filled!

the lucky lady is Sweet and Sour Cindy from B.O.G. genetics. She was the first of our seed starts to show her sex, so we decided she deserves to be all she can be, full season in a 400gal pot.

We will put some more seed plants in big pots tomorrow, we have a Professor Chaos from subcool that is showing her first hairs, and some monster PSAxUncirculatedOG's that are busting out of their pots.

our seedlings are 1 ft tall bushes, definitely not as big as some of our clone plants but seed vigor is no joke, the seed plants will probably get bigger faster. If we had them sexed we would be planting seeds mostly in the big pots but this way we get to throw in some hardcores and pies too

looking at pictures from last year is very encouraging right now...

seedlings went in at the end of june, after vegging in red cups for a month. pretty pathetic:

then 10 days later, beginning of july:

and 3 months later, just before harvest, 3lb plant.:

seed vigor ftw

Shcrews, things are on the road to start blowing up around the farm. I can't wait to see your guys success on that hillside. Everyone is anticipating the outcome of the GG4. Keep killing it bro. You guys are on the road to becoming Outdoor legends.

Are 10gal smarties easy to transplant out of?

I always try to make transplant as least traumatic as possible, and when I pull the fabrics off my finished indoor plants the process of getting them off is barbaric.

When I transplanted into my 45gals this year from the 2gals they were in, I took a long knife an ran it around the inside wall of the fabric pots to cut away the roots that grew into the sides.

Is this your method? Or do you just peel them off?

Last time I transplanted out of 10gal ridged pots it was a huge hassle, but I also didn't have anyone to help so its probably alot faster with extra hands. Lol

i haven't vegged in 10gals before but whenever transplant out of smarties we turn a 5gal bucket upside down, place the plant on it, peel down the sides of the pot, and remove the plant. pretty simple. The thing is the plants have to be fully rooted so that the grow medium clings together or else you will lose some roots in the process

transplanting out of smarties is a bitch theres no way around it. but it could be worse, last year our neighbors vegged their full season plants in 30gal grow bags until june, i think they had a real tough time transplanting those

if you dont care about savign the smart pots you can use a razor to cut the pot in half vertically and peel it off that way.

I let mine get nice and dry and squeeze the shit out of them and they peal off fairly easy
would be easier with 2 people fighting a 10gl SP with a 4ft bush.. Hell no cutting i am way to cheap for that haha
