Hi

I run in DWC 60l/h 5x 5 galons
I use low EC maybe too low... I have pH problems with EC .8 = pH downing to 5.0
I have .4 EC now, roots looks and smells better then .8 EC. x)
I read something about cal-mag deficits, but i cant identify.
My primary water have 6.7pH and .1 EC.

A buds are dark green with low EC i really cant understand this.. Everybody runs with 0.8 EC in vegetable stage.
In bloom runs 1.5EC wow... its unbelievable for me.

My water temp. is almost 75°F, high optimum.
air 85.0 °F.

How should I proceed?

Up the EC. Looks like N deficiency. Could be from having the PH so low also, could be locking out N.

Problem is .... with 0.8 EC after 7 days still have 0.8 EC ... maybe more its about water level.
Really looks like N deficiency?

by the looks of it its a magnesium deficiency ,, in the bible there are many deficiency's and this is the cloestest to magnesium that another in the book as there are pictures and examples. Its says to treat this you must water with 2tea spoons of epsom salts(magnesium sulphate) per gallon of water. for fast results spray foilage with 2% solution of epsom salts. Greening starts at the top of the plant and moves downwards . add same does untill the symtoms disappear or apply magnesium sulphate monnohydrate . Add fine dolomite lime when planting to ensure a supply of calcium and MG

Do some more reasearch on magnesium defienacy and hopefully this post will help :D

^^^ keep root zone and nutrient solution 70-75*F keep ambient air temperature at 75* day and 65* in the night . use a compete fertiliser with Mg. keep soil pH above 6.5 keep hydro pH above 5.5 and lower EC for a week hope this helps dude

Honestly, the best way to tell if it's nitrogen or magnesium would simply be to determine if the problem occurs all over the plant, or only on the older leaves. If the new leaves look fine then your issue would probably be a nitrogen deficiency, because it's highly mobile and the plant gives preferential treatment to the new leaves. If the deficiency is all over, new and old leaves, chances are you are dealing with a less mobile or an immobile nutrient. Magnesium is less mobile then nitrogen.

From those pictures, it looks to me like N def.

Is it happening all over the plant or only on older leaves?

Also, .4 EC is really low. Too low.

Seems like your PH is WAY to LOW. It's creating issues.

Its really N deficiency?
hy there

with my humble experience I tell you that this is salt damage so nute burn.
you may have had a ph lockout somewhen, causing a build up.

the symptoms are there, with curled up und burned fan leaves + claws on upper leaves, which are too dark for a N deff.
