I have a heavy broad mite infestation. I've done a couple rounds of full on drenching the room spraying with limited results so I'm moving on to dunking them. I've never had to dunk before and have some Qs

They're in coco 3 gallon smart pots and in the 6" to 4' range.
I'm going to dunk in forbid and avid. I also have azatrol if it does any good here

1.) Can i dunk the entire plant, smart pot and all?
2.) How long do i leave fully submerged?
3.) Do i have to flush out the roots afterwards
4.) Can i mix avid and forbid in the same dunk
5.) How long does a mixture last? i'm going to be using a 50 G drum and hopefully can reuse it for a few dunks
6.) How long should I wait between dunks
7.) Once soaked if the plants are returned to the same room, will the mites return to the plant, or will they be repelled by the forbid/avid
8.) any advise or things i'm missing?

Thanks so much in advance. This broadmite thing is putting me close to shutting down which i realllly do not want to do.

i'd burn everything...

i'd burn everything...

but you will most likely move forward with the nuclear option, so i won't interfere. i would ask that you post up some pics for reference though. it would be much appreciated.

Heavy infestation should equal toss and start over. Maybe even in a different space.. Sorry for the bad news, but it is VERY hard to get the room clean enough to grow in after a BM infestation.

I managed to keep em at bay after tossing 84 of 88 plants. Saved the genetic, am now rolling in clones, and 28 flowering plants.. Still I see a bit of BM damage, occasionally - so I continue. Watch out for seedlings, they do not have a chance when the BMs are present. Give your Avid-ed plants 60 days until consuming. It's beyond nasty.

I am still going to get my buds tested (from the 4 that I did finish) I am curious if I got all the Avid and Forbid out of the plant.

Make sure your humidity is in the right place (50% with lights on), and spray OGBIOWAR Foliar right when lights are out. It will knock them the fuck out. Use it every 3 days in a row for a couple of weeks, and then use it twice a week for a few months.

Fuck all of the chemicals.

Use a variety of products, thoroughly. I like avid, forbid/ kontos, magus( early on), spinosad, triple action neem, sulfur, and just ordered indicate 5 as spreader. Previously only used ez wet. Wear a full body paint suit, gloves ,and a respirator.

Don't dunk with nothing but kontos unless u wanna test a single plant first. Use mix within a few hrs and I'd go 2 days between pesticide rotations. Just Ordered some pylon bombsoff amazon @25 a pop it's supposed to kick ass. Stay on it and buy some fresh clones nd seeds in the meantime.

I've been having a hard time with these broad mite basterds ....I have used conserve avid and still have not had any luck even with multiple treatments....when I dunked it was on small plants before the infection and did not dunk the roots(could of been my problem) but still I'm not sure what effect it would have on the plant.....if you have fungus nats or any other bug thease broad mites will attach themselves to them and fly from place to place.....I would recommend doing a heat treatment to your room of at least 120 for an hour to kill everything...but I have done this as well and there still here......I hate to say it but getting all plant matter out might be your best option....give it 110% if your gonna keep your babies if you don't have a painters suit toss your cloths in the dryer and cook em when you get home sanitize everything....hard work pays off..:ying:

Contact the manufacturer to see if they can be drenched. I've considered drenching avid myself for ra.

Photosynthesis, you are kidding yourself if you think ogbiowar will stop BM. While its a great way to boost overall health and may slow em down, it's a terrible way to stay BM FREE. Once they arrive you're in for a ride but luckily there's some nifty Chems that will fuck them up properly.

On like 8" vegging plants I've used Avid up to 5 ml Ga. for root aphids. No damage to plant. 5ml is overkill, normally use1 maybe 2 ml per Ga.
As a test I just did 5 ml @ 32oz on some newly transplanted clones in rockwool and the edges of the leaves burned.
I found some root aphids on my plants so I'm going nuclear.

One thing to do is check the pH. I used something from Bayer and over night my plants were wilted then died. pH checked out at
high 2s.

Do a test on a plant first. Lets it soak for a minute or two. With your two part combo they should die on contact. So you can flush if you want or let them be until their next feeding/watering.
