Hi guys. Been lurking for a while, finding all I needed through the search. But time has come and I will need your infinite wisdom to tell me what the heck is going on with my lady. My media is good grade coco, pH is on check 5.8-6.2. Using GH flora bloom, never going over ec 1.2. Can't tell if this is nutrient burn or some kind of deficiency, light burn ou even nut. burn.

They already have calmag going. Epson also didn't work. Gonna try and up the ec for a couple days.

It looks like youre locked out.
You might want to calibrate your pen and keep your ec just below 6.0.
Have you been using a lot of bloom booster?
I would quit adding the calmag and/or mag
What other additives are you using?
Veg or flower?

Still in veg, so no bloom boosters yet. Just the base, flora bloom, and some fulvic, full power, so there's no ec change or pH change. Might try and give it a flush to see what the pH is coming out of the media, but I doubt the pH is over 6.0, actually it might be a bit lower as the soup I've been using here is alway drifting from 5.5 to a maximum of 6.2. Note that when the nutrients hit a pH or above 6 I immediately lower it to 5.5 to 5.8. So they are not getting more than one or two feedings with pH over 6.0 on a weekly basis.

Almost forgot to mention that I have flushed with flora kleen, maybe three weeks a go. Started over, and sure enough less then a week later the leafs where doing that again. I have one other plant, different strain, and she is doing completely fine.

I also use the floranova series. I've noticed that you reallllly need to shake the bottles to try and get as much back into solution as possible before adding to your water, other wise you can have some deficiency looking issues. There are also two different all in ones, the FloraNova Grow(7-4-10), and FloraNovaBloom(4-8-7). I would recommend buying the FloraNova Grow for veg since that is what it is designed for, and the using the FloraNova Bloom when you switch over to flower. Not sure what exactly the culprit is here, but maybe trying the FloraNova Grow could help.

Good Luck man

Dont ever flush with a flushing solution, except at the end if youve overfed...
I would flush with 1/2 strength nutes and then go back to full strength

These leaves look all too familiar. You say that they didn't improve with CalMag or Epsom. I urge you to check the roots/medium for Root Aphids. You'll need a small amt of magnification with a broad field of view, like a magnifying glass. And be quick cuz they will disappear quickly into the medium. Another way that works well is to put 1" thick slices of raw potato on the surface of the medium. 24-48 hours later, if you have RA's they will be on the soil side of the spud. Good luck. -granger

Hey elements, as I knew about that problem with the floranova and couldn't get some salts back into the the solution I warmed some distilled water And diluted the whole thing. So no more shaking as a crazy mofo. The floranova bloom is more than enough to get by veg stage, as per Lucas formula.

Thank you coconutz. I'll try to remember that. Also, I just gave it a feed with ec 1.2 and pH 5.6. What came out was a solution with pH 5.7 and ec 0.7.

Oh shit I didnt know you were using the bloom. I thought you were doing 6/9 for some reason.
Not many people have very good results with nova and coco.
I think 7g of maxi is a lot hotter than 1.2

daiumn. that could be it. I'll be changing to the 6/9 as soon as they switch to flowering.
Thought the Lucas and the Heads where pretty much the same formula. Might have learned the small difference in the ratios actually mean a lot more.

Thanks, Coconutz
