Western Flower Thrips
saw them on the top of a few leaves.
Damage is visible with the black droppings and silvery streaks they leave.
Population is small they just appeared.
Man I been OFF on my prevention game... SNS 209 aint cutting it either. SM-90?
Says to get Spinosid - will do.
Now if only I can keep my dirty gardener clothes and self away and out of my canna gardens
All these bug scares are going to make me swing back into anal annoying hospital operating room mode but will be hard cause ill have to try to keep the house plants all in perfect order and i'll need to quarantine myself.
Its all good. Gotta learn some how - and I don't mind - having personal experience in observing the damage is very valuable and drives me to learn more about the world we live in(with)
Oh and I just got a job at a local nursery too - I think i'll start a routine of a shower before even opening the bed room. Theres a no shoe policy here but I need to push myself further and get all cosmonaut in this bitch!
Only complaint is the lack of super cropping equaling some super floppy buds.

What else? You been using SM-90 - wut about that?
I dont spray with the sm90 anymore, though its good for 1-2 sprays to make your leaves super tough. Mix it with some silica, but dont follow their crazy foliar directions.
Its also not compatible with spinosad.
Just add 2ml to the nutes to keep the room from smelling like runoff funk.
The Spinosad I use the day before flower and once they are rooted. I mix it with some silica. Dont PH it.
Those fuckers are around but they cant handle the spinosad and either die or just fucking move on.
I also have some azamax that I used to use once right before flower in the nutes, but its so fucking expensive I havent been using it.
The Triple Action Neem dunks I use when I get new plants or if I have a problem...
Its also not compatible with spinosad.

I need to get fresh equipment for the next run and organize/consolidate my equipment so that I'm not hoarding a bunch of useless stuff thinking
"oh i'll use that one day" or the classic "im going to need this" only to devise a simpler better way later lol
I flushed the medium really well. I'm going to be feeding the Jack33 still cause shes an 13 weeker and I know how to tickle her fancy - I really love that plant except i wasn't thinking about her longer bloom period and its kinda screwing up my plans for a total room sterilization and to veg out / train lots of plants and take clones before I flip.
I was thinking of swapping out one of the bulbs with an MH - and toss in plants for the 12 hour lights on cycle only letting me veg them stronger for 12 hours with 6 under the lower wattage and then lights off and wahpow - repeat cycle. only for a few weeks till I can really bulk up for cloning via training. then I could leave them in there.

damage on the leaves - it looks like TINY catepillar - with black poop spots - and destroyed chlorophyll leaving white patches no the leaf surface.
I saw a few Larvae staged Thrips - thats how I identified them.
Caught the flier and sure enough - it has a longer body - with a ribbed abdomen and if you see the larvae you will isntantlyl recognize the adult cause its just a larvae with legs and wings lol
I gave everything vegging a huge flush yesterday - the needed it - can already see improving results.
Fortunately no - BUT if the problem were to continue unattended - I would assume these plants would be TOAST.
The plants are stressed but also from other things like being super close to each other - not getting up pots as they would love right about now - and other things like a little toxicity JUST about to happen - but I flushed em and their back on track.
The trips came from me touching some one or an adult making its way into the tent.
I just need another tent to put the 175 MH into and use up all my floros lol and use just the T5 + another T5 for veg.

Awesome what tent - im really really skeptical about investing in one - I just don't know which to choose that would have flower potential without having to be a mad scientist and ensure its light proof + have all the other essentials.

Wow shes big - Had to tie her up - Shes seeded under neath the skirt - GGRRRRR stupid males - the fan on the stool clearly blew pollen into hte lower portion of pretty much the big girl.
I fear for a 5gal pot she isn't going to put out as well as hoped due to lack of proper training with the screen / light intensity over the entire screen - so there might be big changes required for the screen to be efficient - or as efficient as other methods.
I'm going to prune off the seeded lower larf shit and defoliate slightly for better lower bud penetration but not too much cause im flushing.
Overall happy - but fuck that stupid trip ruined this rounds full potential for me.
